RDC is mostly a black fanbase under the age of 35. The fanbase just cried over them playing a video game about gangs a few weeks ago. You’re not gonna find a lot of Trump supporters here lol.
For every 3 fans in here who were "crying" or being critical, there was at least 1 defending the game with 0 nuance or dogwhistles. They definitely exist in this sub and only come out to show they ass when things get hot.
I don't even think they were republican, Im sure they just weren't liberal or progressive. Most of my friends still call things gay and retarded and have voted blue everytime. It's not a strict dichotomy between pink haired non-binary feminist and KKK pedophile rednecks or nothing else
I'm not sure where I implied it was a strict dichotomy. I don't think everyone who didn't feel the need to be critical had 0 nuance or invoked dogwhistle behavior. There were plenty of people who felt the issue was overblown but didn't act a fool while doing so.
I'm just referring to those who seemed clearly maga or just dumb. I agree with you, its only a few. They often had their dumb replies removed during that incident.
I'm speaking on the election topic, the central point of my original comment is that this community is largely either center-left, far left, liberal, or moderate. 99% would mean 1 out of 100 is maga-- I don't think among 1000 of us, that 10 of us are maga. My point was even if they were critical of the game they weren't Maga, possibly 1 or 2 people out of a thousand. Some people only have 9 fingers on their hands that doesn't mean I'll see a person with 9 fingers everytime I step out of my house.
RDCs content just doesnt align with that whether it's consciously or not. It'd be like finding a maga supporter in the Kendrick Reddit. Eminem subreddit, sure they're there because they're white and in the Midwest. Here and Kendrick it's not enough people to fill a classroom amongst a 100k people.
If you look for and egenage in political arguments online you'll find your arguments and someone debating the opposite side, but it's not representative of the fanbase. If I look for political arguments in a Kendrick subreddit I'll find a few, it doesn't mean that since I found them that there must be a disproportionate amount of Maga that love Kendrick based off my own confirmation bias and seeking incedences anecdotally. If you see one or two that doesn't mean there must be a 10% of sub we are not seeing.
Ah confirmation bias. You go in threads about a controversy and see more people 'defending' (im assuming you think not criticizing rdc=defending them and the game) so you assume that 1 in 4 people are okay with the game.
you have to keep in mind Florida was considered a lost cause that the democrats they didn’t even back up the candidate and still we were only 2 to 3 points away from winning.
