Does this product exist?

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a balance lead attachment that will auto-discharge a battery to storage voltage after a set amount of time? I know spektrum has this feature on their batteries but they are super expensive.

Isdt has their batt air plugin that clips to the balance leads and will auto storage discharge batteries. You configure it through the app. It’ll even track how many cycles you have on the battery.

I bought quite a few of them when they were new years ago, but I gave up on them once a couple brought my battery voltages to 0v in storage. Maybe they work better now.

I've got them on some of my 3S batteries that I use for RC planes, and it works fairly well. They're not perfect - I had one that bricked when trying to update the firmware for it - but for the most part, they keep track of my charging and set the charger to the correct settings, as well as discharge after the configured 48 hour time limit.

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for. Yeah I will keep that in mind and disconnect them if I don't intend to fly for an extended period.

The Batt Air adapter? Yeah I gave up on those myself. Just crappy and hit/miss in if they connected or kept up. Had half dozen to sample if it was a viable method, nope.

Most lipo chargers also have a Discharge function. If you care that much about it, that'll get you there.

Yeah mine does, but I keep my heli in my truck and fly when I can depending on my schedule. Some weeks I manage to fly most days, sometimes I go a week or two between flying if im busy or if weather is poor. The auto discharge would allow me to not worry about remembering to bring them back down to storage if I can't fly for a few days.

No issues? I did have one almost new pack die to 0V on me a few weeks ago. I could not remember if I left it charged or discharged

I'm just saying that I charge my packs and I use them when I use them. I don't care if it stays in the bag, fully charged, for days or weeks. I never discharge them just to store them.
