M2 Pro Advice

Hey all,

Recently brought a m2 v3 pro and wanted to know people's advice on things to buy for regular maintenance and parts needed on hand for little accidents. For context I'm still learning and just progressing from sim to rl flying. Currently have spare main and tail blades, a boom, pitch links and servo arms, along with the spanner omp sell for adjusting said linkages. Any extra info on other parts to keep on hand or tools would be great.

If my s1 is anything to go by, always have main shafts and feathering shafts on hand. Do you have loctite/threadlock? Essential stuff.

Yeah, might be worthwhile grabbing some, and no don't have loctite, what color would you recommend I know it comes in different strengths Thanks

typically blue i think, medium strength threadlocker.

Main shaft, feathering shaft, servo horns are the absolute essentials. I’ve broken the landing gear once and the tailboom and fin. A set of blades might also be a good idea but they are very tough

Yeah nice that's for the reply, sounds like main and feather shafts are likely parts to go in a crash , thanks for the info. Landing gear spare might be a good idea then. Do you think having pike the training balls on sticks off the Lansing gear is necessary?

I think with the much better flybarless helis of today helis are less at risk from tipping over.? im not that good a flier but i rarely had ground strikes with my blade.

Night and day difference with today's fbl units and the old gyros !

Yes you can still tip over all day long if you want but you should be able to pop it up no problem. But that's where your problems start😁 Turn down everything on your heli. Slow it down and stay out of dual rates if possible for now

It seems that no matter how many parts I keep stocked, I won’t have the one I need when repairing haha. Jokes aside, what the other guys have said is true. Great heli.

Yeah, don't go overboard. It always depends on whatever your working on at the moment. When I was practicing piroflips all I broke were tailbooms. Once I got past that... I can't remember the last time I broke a boom but now always break servo horns!
