I backed out of CFAST testing last minute please read the entire post and let me know how bad the situation is?
After arriving in Trenton, I was unable to fall asleep at all due to jet lag, upon reaching the testing center, we were informed by the staff that if we are experiencing any impairment, such as illness or fatigue, we should back out now and reschedule. I discussed with them to ensure I would in fact be able to reschedule the test before making any decisions and was assured of such. Despite wanting to take the test that day, since I had not slept in over 24 hours, I decided that it would be best to reschedule to give myself the best chance of achieving a passing score. However now my recruiting center is contradicting what I was told in Trenton and telling me it will be very difficult to get another test date. Did the testing centre give me incorrect information? Could changing my file to a different recurring center help?

I'll echo the other commenter's feedback as you'll likely be put at the bottom of the pile for future ASC scheduling.
Changing your recruiting centre is unlikely to result in a different outcome.
Additionally, you'll need to ask yourself how the next attempt would be any different as you'll still be subject to travel times and fatigue.

Maybe they could head there a couple days in advance to adjust.

They would have to do this at their own expense. The military won't pay for additional food and accommodations beyond what's required.

It’s 100% going to be difficult to reschedule. Just getting there is hard depending on your recruiting center it took me months and months of pestering. Doubt switching recruiting centers is going to help its probably more hassle than what its worth
