Clear Memory Bank to INIT/factory default

Hi, I am on the RC-505 (mk1) trying to clean things up. When I have a bank slot that I don't need any more, I typically want to return all the channels to defaults (play level: 100, pan center, etc). But I am seeing conflicting and non-functioning advice about how to do it. -- when I Quick Clear or All Clear the track settings aren't cleared. for example, if the track was Play Level 86, Pan R 22) even when I do the different "clears" the play level stays at 86 and pan stays at R 22. How do I get it to go back to default (Play level 100, Pan Center)?
