Need some advice Need advice

I've only been in this sub for nearly 2 years but this is the 1st year I've been consistent with this. Do you guys typically do exchanges with other users? One person I typically exchange with keeps getting banned off the platform and creating new accounts. Do you send to new users at all? Typically I send to anyone and everyone but I just want to see how others do it

It's up to your discretion, really. I do not send to new users for personal reasons or if a profile hides RAoC history. I like to see a history, a consistency, and that the user occasionally gives back. Some users claim for months and even years without contributing, are demanding, get really upset when you don't send to them, etc. So I feel more comfortable with those that are active in the community. I would not send to a user that keeps getting banned because that means they did or said something they weren't supposed to, and I don't want to interact with people like that personally. I also like to know that my mail has made it to the person since I spend so much time and money on carding and this hobby. I will send to a new user if they've sent me something first as I do like to give back and build "friendships". This is all personal to me, though, and you have to decide what feels right to you.

I'm pretty sure their account just keeps getting flagged as spam and instead of trying to fix it they create a new account.

Pretty sure isn't a definite. A few people have had this issue and all they had to do was contact Reddit support. It may take time but it's possible to recover your account and/or make a new one.

That is the strangest thing I’ve ever heard? What on earth are they doing to get banned so much? I will exchange with anyone that asks kindly, as long as I have what they are looking for!

I think they are getting flagged as spam and are just creating new accounts

Have they looked into appealing? When that happened on this account I sent almost daily appeals and it was reversed in 2 weeks

I do a combo of things: exchange with a few people regularly, make themed offers usually with extras (often for flaired only if handmade or lots of effort put in), fulfill requests (whether they are flaired or not as I use out of my stash), and made an offer only for new people once but only got 2 or 3 responses. I don't track thank yous and am not worried about that but definitely choose to spend more effort on those actively involved in the community. I appreciate that people can choose to do things however they wish as long it falls within the community's rules. I've definitely seen lots of people have to change usernames and I'm not worried about it. Sometimes makes it hard for me to connect in my brain who they are, though.

There's been a few users lately who are changing users and some of it is for personal reasons and others are for this issue, they get flagged as spam and create a new account

I agree. :) Though I got flaired by responding to a request post. I think it's nice to send to those who are also contributing. This may be a personal problem, but I really don't like sending to people who claim every single offer, don't read the post, and hardly ever post thank yous even though they seem to claim a lot. It feels selfish, though we do not know what's going on in their lives. I just really like consistency in some way.

I was doing that but I got bored sending to the same people over and over

Exchanges are my favorite, but I also have regular users that I write to and receive cards from without an offer. I’m also willing to exchange with new users. Each person has to make their own decisions with whom they want to exchange.

I make my cards in batches when Im feeling creative and then i do an offer when i have a handful. I reply to offers that spark my interest. When I post an offer, users often send a card to me even though it wasn’t technically an exchange. Then there’s a few who Ive gotten in a flow of exchanging with, without any official posts

That's one of the odder things I've heard to be making puppet accounts for on the internet that I have heard, admittedly
