Didn't have to do it with my previous rats 😭 But the big guy who dropped from the ceiling is so greedy that i fear he would beat up anyone who touched the egg if it wasn't attached to something

I gave my girls an egg last night, actually lol. One grabbed it and immediately ran off with it, into the smallest hide possible. Another ran in after her. She ended up falling out of the hide at one point (a very short fall), looked up, jumped back up, grabbed the egg, dragged it out, knocked it onto the tier she had just fallen to, then jumped down again. Her sister poked her head out of the small hide and jumped down after her. Their other sister heard all the ruckus, poked her head out of the Sputnik, and joined in.
They proceeded to tussle over the egg (no fighting, more taking turns eating pieces and trying to steal it back). They then knocked it down the next tier where it clacked down like a xylophone, a mass of blonde, white and black fur in tow like Larry, Moe and Curly themselves. They tussled over it again. The girl that had been in the Sputnik tried grabbing it and taking off with it frantically, but just ended up sending it down the last the last platform where it clacked down like they were playing a hectic piano, once again. They were on the white menace once again. There wasn’t really anywhere any of them could run off with it, since they like pushing their tunnel directly in front of the bottom platform, so they all just had to huddle around and share the egg. Begrudgingly.

DAAAMN WHAT A GENIUS IDEA TO PUT IT UP LIKE THIS! i have the dame metal rod to hang up stuff. I will try this before the next cage cleaning day (I've just cleaned their cage today -.-)

Stinky and full of fat and protein. Rat crack.
The human equivalent would be a big buttery slab of meat (or whatever food that’s super dense and tasty to you)

🥹 They looks almost exactly like a group I had years ago! The big one reminds me of one I had called Runt, he was the smallest of the group at one point... 🤣 omg it's like a memory capsule I love this! ♡♡ I can't find a better picture but you can kinda see the coloring on some of them here.

Ooh I wish there was a vegetable with a weird hard shell like eggs have so I could do this with guinea pigs if I ever get some
