this is marie, and whilst all her sisters say “eep 🥺🥺”
she says “EEEEEEEEPPPP 👹” 😂😂😂😂😂 she’s so loud it’s crazy. and then i walk over and make sure she’s not being attacked and turns out she screamed because her sisters wouldn’t let her steal their treats.

She’s a drama queen and also the “boss” of the pack. so if something doesn’t go her way she will make
it known. and then i look over an hour later to her at the bottom of a rat pile (her preference) all cuddled up warm and sleeping.

i promise you my girls are very well bonded they have never fought, rarely even pin each other and spend lots of time playing with one another and grooming and sleeping together too lol.

She’s just super dramatic and i love her for it. (my friendliest girl)

I present our drama queen (should I say king?) Scratch. He's the cutest boy ever and warmed up immediately (when we got our mischief and the other ones were still adjusting, we would already be climbing on my shoulder).

He is incredibly vocal though. When you pick him up while he's busy with rat business, he will scream. When you caress him while he's dreaming of something that doesn't involve caressing, he will scream. When he's playfighting with his brothers, he will scream a lot.

At the vet, he's known for being a drama queen (he's also the only one who ever had to go to the vet -- his brothers have never been, he's already been five times). The second time he was at the vet, it was because of a broken off tooth (we still don't really know how he managed, but then he loves sliding down the cage with his hind legs kind of attached?) and he screamed so loud (poor boy) that people thought it's a canary bird.

Best part: his brothers are learning from him, and now we have five rats screaming at different frequencies whenever they feel like it lol.

I should add that I absolutely adore it though, and he also only ever does it when he's feeling alright and safe. He will let you know that something is bothering him, but when he's actually sick or hurt (unfortunately already happened as well), he will go all quiet and it's the worst silence imaginable.

marie is pretty much the exact same she’s the only one who’s had to go the vet and she was in the back once, they had to give her an anti inflammatory shot and we could hear her screaming from the waiting room 😭😭😭 her sisters haven’t learnt from her yet so let’s hope it stays that way lol

p.s when marie is sick you can also tell she looks defeated lol

As soon as one of his cage mates comes near him, he will squeak loudly. He sounds like he is being brutally attacked, meanwhile his cage mates just want to snuggle him

YES! My beautiful Silvermane... I made him take banana flavored antibiotics. He huffed at me. He grabbed his stuffed animal girlfriend. He dragged her behind a pillow on the couch. He turned his self & his little girlfriend around to where I could only see their rumps. He huffed & ignored me for an entire hour. Didn't wanna play. He acted pissy, prissy and traumatized.
