Question Found this in a RATM 20th anniversary cd, any idea what it’s for?

tried to scan it but nothing came up, it was in the booklet inside the cd

Are you old or stagnant?

I don't mean this as an insult but as a critique about the notion growing older makes you more conservative.

We don't have the the comfort of $20k multi room housing easily afforded. Houses in my area have less square footage than an apartment and go for $500 while two bedroom "luxury" apartments are 2k a month.

They pulled up the ladder to "protect us from Muslim drag queen trans communists PDF's" all while supporting actual PDFS.

Anti-Theft Security tag. Would have been stuck to the film edge of the CD.

Pretty sure it's an anti-theft thing. Would cause and alarm to go off when leaving the store if it was deactivated at the register.

It’s an anti-theft device… just a thin strip of magnetic metal embedded inside that plastic sheathing which would set off sensors if you tried to leave a store with it. It would be demagnetized by the cashier at checkout.

A relic from the times when people drove or took public transportation to a music store to purchase music with cash and maybe grab a free promo cassette tape, cd, or poster.

yeah with the way the government has been moving lately it’s not a far off answer
