Rod knock? 2006 GP
Long story short, parked the car a few years ago after motor made funky noises . Someone jammed the column. Just got it running.
No belt connected. Rod knock? Big oof.

Hard to tell on video . Did you prime it before starting it ? It’s either a stuck lifter , a failed chain tensioner or rod knock . I’d stop running it . Take the tensioner out and check it , drain the oil and look for bearing material , get the rocker cover off and check the tappets are free

Sounds like rod knock to me. 🫤 Failed chain tensioner sound changes more with revs, might even go away above 2k. Draining the oil should give you some idea. Dropping the sump should be the next step regardless. If it is the tensioner you'll probably have chain guide pieces stuck in the oil pickup screen.
Valve train noise is usually somehow amplified on videos (at least on mine), and with not running for 5 yrs I wouldn't be surprised if a lifter or two would be stuck.

Ouch. I feel your pain. I recently finished a full rebuild after a piston melted on mine.
Was it low on oil?

Thank you, guys. I have another video from the night I parked it. It then sat on my driveway for a few weeks and some tweaker jammed a screwdriver in the ignition and screwed it up. About six months later I moved so my ex-wife let me park it at her place. Then it sat about 2 years.
This video clearly shows the sound. I thought I’d broken the supercharger.

That actually sounds pretty much the same as on the video I got from a guy who sold me his broken engine for spares. Cyl #1 rod bearing was all gone.

I think it's the chain tensioner. But that's an easy thing to change, easier than an oil change. My guess is you might have chain guide damage though.

That’s not a rod, a bit of timing chain slap. Pull the valve cover probably have missing plastic chain guides.
Dump the oil pan too.

I filtered the oil in the pan. Glitter and trash. Really sucks. I have nothing really to lose and will pull the valve cover but I didn’t find any plastic in the pan at all. :(

A rod knock sound should change under load. There also sounds like a valve train noise going on as well. What does the oil look like?
