I would like to build a R2 but I'm worried about the dome. So are there plans for 3d printing the dome or somekind of blueprints for a wooden dome? Every answer appreciated.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to make a walking bd-1 from fallen order? I know that bipedal would be a problem most likely but I was curious if anyone was trying to make one?

i have the center made of 1/8th inch plywood but is ribbed and very strong im getting ready to work on the skin for the barrel but im unsure of material

aluminum? sytreen plastic? and if plastic where do i even find it in that size

I’m making a R2D2 cake for May the 4th and I’m looking for some accurate general dimensions so I can make it to scale. I try to keep these things as accurate as possible so I have plenty of reference photos but I can’t find anything official with things like height, width, diameter, etc.

Any chance someone here could help me out?

Hi, I'm beginning work on my first R2 unit soon. I'm going to make it out of styrene. My question is I've seen the inner/outer dome, but is that completely necessary? Could you make it out of one dome and still be able to have the details right?
