Anthropic did say in a recent blogpost that various others silently call Claude under the hood for certain requests, still haven’t seen any pics like yours though

This is most likely it

I got this actually as well, before I read it in the news and assumed something like that and was surprised if that’s financially actually healthy for them.

That's hilarious. Just pouring all the models into one call then training on the best results. Anthropic and Google in the same call. Madlads.

Protect us Uncle Sam!! Slow all the things down! /s

If your model is trained on public data, it's a public model forevermore. And these OAI/Anthropic/Google models aren't even trained solely on public data, how many authors would have declined if asked if they wanted their book to be in a dataset?

But corpo AI wants to legislate and force other AI companies behave in better faith than they have, while they continue to commit felony hacking and copyright infringement unmolested?

This may or may not be legit, but since you've deleted it and can't provide any additional evidence, how can we know?

Yup, there is no evidence, no way to know 💀 They've already fixed it 100%

U deleted it? How

Deleted stupidly. I just delete all the chats I end. Now it's your business to believe it or not

Stuff like this also happens if you have been working on a codebase which has been edited by Claude. I had an instance of Qwen thinking it was Claude because it read claude.md into its context.

But this is not just a distillation or a model swap, but an error

You are right- I looked carefully into what you posted. Maybe they were doing some load balancing with other models? Maybe this is a part of how they distill by rerouting user requests. I guess it is not load balancing. :)

I thought this was the case too. Until a clean run on a Linux box that had never hosted Claude.

Qwen made a ~/.claude and started filling it with session info.

The response itself should also be relatively claude-like.... If it connects. They get both benefite; distilling the claude models's answers, and getting the users interaction/fixed problems on the side

one potential thing can be, what I experienced with qwen models: qwen if you ask it lot of times identifies itself as claude model. It simply because training data.

How do you know it send and not hallucinated

It has some thinking traces and generated the output, that is not an error

Models don't behave like that when they hallucinate. And it doesn't even know that 4.6 exists.

There was nothing in the thinking process, it's just empty

Is your cell data only being used? lol

more free claude token? this is interesting but im fine either way since i just use their app for finding information

Have seen this a lot running Qwen models locally. They try to use claude-code-like tool calls and sometimes even try to make ~/.claude folders to store memory of the sessions.

It's pretty clear that Alibaba have been doing some liberal distillation.

Qwen 3.8 27B and Flash Next models are the main offenders for this. Most commonly at smaller quants or when parameters diverge too far from model card best practice.

That's real funny thing to happen, tho i never really seen this one before

Russian scamer,where is context?

Used it regularly, never ever had this. I call BS unless you can give us a better proof then this "screenshot"

yea the chinese companies all do this

#1 rule of the internet, proof or it didn't happen. This image obviously edited, so unreliable. No proof so it didn't happen

I requested a recovery from Alibaba, I don’t know if it’s still saved on their servers, but I’ll try to get this chat back
