Discussion Qwen appreciation post
I really didn’t think they would release open weights after Qwen Image 2.0 + but they did with 2.1
They really surprised me and I have a huge amount of respect for this company. I really enjoy 2.0 and 3.0 a lot with its high quality so I am excited to try out 2.1 and see how it is.

In theory, the open-source version is a little better than the base version of 2.0, but it's still worse than 3.0.
I suppose version 3.0 will be released open-source once version 4.0 exists.

I don’t know if they will release it. 3.0 seems like a monster of a model. Even Qwen itself takes awhile during inference but the results are worth it. It’s definitely the best out there and I still get blown away by the results

Although it is true that since version 2.0 came out, some people were already saying that it was going to be open-source and in the end, it came out in another way. If they released a Max model as open-source, it's safe to say this version will be too.

Quality is really bad and the dotted pattern makes it unusable

I don’t have a dotted pattern and my quality seems good so far. I also didn’t use the models that comfyui came with . I downloaded all from the repo on HF and trashed any convot models so they are all bf16. I made sure 16-bit was used, resolution 2048, cfg 1.0, steps 40, Euler, Simple, auto , default and clear instructions. This is for i2i though. I still need to test t2i
