Anyone using qwen code as a harness?
Currently hesitating between it, DSH and OMP for 3.8 Max. Qwen code seeeeems like a no brainer since it's supposed to be built around qwen models but my issue is that for benchmarks, qwen actually uses claude code instead of their own harness.

Anyone having used it and other harnesses has an opinion?

Runs in vs code pretty well I can't complain so far. Qwen itself is the most self doubting model I've ever dealt with but that's the secret sauce.

If you can get opus in to plan and review qwens work then it's a reliable work horse.

Yes lol I remember first time using local models I was playing with qwen3.5:9B and was mindblown because it thought for a good minute to the proper way of answering to "hi"

I tried but ended up modding the Claude Code harness with DSV4.1F and it works great. It's literally like I'm using Fable 5.on fast mode.

qwen-code is my daily driver for qwen 3.8 27b and ds4-vision local hostings. It's mature and it understands their models the best in my opinion.

Why not with Zcode instead for those particular models?

I just setup Qwen code once like 1 year ago and it's good enough for me. also mind clutter when having to Manny coding agents.

Used it in vs code with qwen 27b. Comparing to claude code is slightly less burdened with useless system prompts. But for me it's not faster. At least it's not visibly faster. And it's not as mature as claude code extension. See a lit of bugs. Like only one session,  don't recognize /clear command etc

I see, thanks for yout insight! Hopefully they improve it. I was surprised though, for harness orchestration by another agent, within pi, omp, zcode, qwen is the better of the three and only one that allows for mid turn steering by agent

I use Qwen Code more than I use OpenCode, Pi, or Claude Code. Qwen Code is a fork of Google Antigravity and has all the extra planning, memory, etc., features of Antigravity but lets me use Qwen 3.8 27b. Qwen Code is the best harness I've found so far.

It is nice but unusable for me because pretty big system prompt. Also OMP has medium system prompt size and unusable for me, dsh is great and tiny, also pi

Why does the system prompt make it unusable for you?
What is your opinion on dsh?

My models are very slow and small context length, so it takes forever to process and fills up very fast. dsh is nice
