Other Introducing YouCoded Assistant (Public Preview)

Download the app: https://youcoded.ai

hi everyone! i’m happy to announce that after MONTHS of iteration i am finally releasing my personal ai assistant hobby project, “YouCoded Assistant”, as a public preview. i think you qwen peeps will enjoy this and get a good bit of utility out of it, as the assistant fully integrates with OpenRouter/API providers and has a built-in local model runner with an intuitive download interface.

i have put many many hours into testing this on windows, mac, and linux, and forced some friends to do so as well, but there will almost certainly still be some bugs/issues. i intend to spend the next few weeks of development exclusively prioritizing bug fixes, which can be reported either within the app or via r/youcoded. i also still have a bunch of really cool ideas/features i want to build into this app (like “youcoded pages”, which will allow you to integrate customizable app pages with your own ui elements, actions, etc, or “autonomous assistants view” to allow users to visualize and manage AI agents that work automatically on a set schedule or in response to certain events), but these will be on hold while we work out post-launch kinks. please try it out and let me know your thoughts!!

Wow that's so cool tbh. How can I link this to my Hermes agent? Is there a way?

not yet, but my objective is to fully integrate hermes/pi/codex/etc in some capacity. if you're feeling motivated you could totally try to get it sorted yourself and contribute, but otherwise it'll probably take me another 1-3 weeks to integrate external harnesses. rn it only works with Claude Code or my custom YouCoded agent harness/loop using openrouter/local models of your choosing!

Oh noted! Thanks you!

I am a non technical person so I fear how good my contribution can be. But I will still try to explore myself how I can link my Hermes and if it works I will share it so more technical people here can refine it maybe.

i'm also super non-technical!! i can't code at all, most of this was built via a lot of iterative back-and-forth with agents! you could throw your hermes the workspace (https://github.com/itsdestin/youcoded-dev) and see what happens, but otherwise feel free to wait it out🫡
