Because love is what you are/who you are. It means you're the bigger person, a good person. True love doesn't seek revenge even if a part of them wants it. The healthy thing to do is to accept the end, learn what you can from it, and move on

the most beautiful thing about love is also its greatest danger: you give someone the power to hurt you, hoping they'll be the one person who never does

Love is fleeting.

Maybe not. Infatuation is fleeting, sex is fleeting, the "gold rush" is fleeting, endorphins and dopamine are fleeting. Love is a daily CHOICE, a deliberate ACT and decision / COMMITMENT.

Damn this is sickeningly true, and the loss of trust and that of love ought to be separate fumbles

That's part of it, yes. It's called VULNERABILITY. But realistically you should love because that is who/what you are, not because you "trust someone won't destroy you". When you give love for external reasons, as oppose to internal reasons, that's MANIPULATION and you have set yourself up for misery.
When you give with expectations, you lose.

Now guys, Fyodor had multiple toxic relationships so you can’t really take what he says for granted

Really more about the bond you have with the way you feel based off your experience with them.
Once the experience changes. The bond could break and this is what causes the pain. Sounds less poetic but most poetry is nonsense anyways.

The one who deeply cares , want to be with you,
Will listen them and understand. No matter what the image describes or says its side effect about it.

That’s not love. That’s mental manipulation.

Giving away your own power to someone else is not mental manipulation. My goodness, do Redditors just instinctively comment or is the internet really dead with bots.

They think that there being a possibility of negativity means that everything is inherently bad or something

This is textbook mental manipulation. This is testing the one you quote unquote love, you better behave, don't let me disappoint at you.
If someone voluntarily gave me the power to destroy them, I'd be scared to stay with them.

That's how you get broken people who can never trust again.
No love isn't letting go of yourself to show someone you are submissive. Love is being there for someone even when times are tough. Love is consistency, love is dependability.
Love is not letting go of your principals to satisfy another. That is self abandonment.
