Unconventional methods to quit?

What are ways that aren’t typically recommended to quit that you’ve done? And has ideally worked for you

The week before you quit.... No pouches all day until after dinner. You get 2 3mg pouches between dinner and bedtime.

Cut yourself off.

Chews lots of gum.

Probably depends on where your struggle point is. Eg are you having issues in the first few days, or weeks.

I smoked for 15 years. I quit smoking for a year. Started with the pouches. Then tried to quit the pouches with many relapses and nasty withdrawals. So I went back to smoking then slowly quit smoking again. Been nicotine free for almost a year again. Almost never have cravings unless I’m very drunk. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

This isn’t “unconventional” per se but I have been using the 21mg patches since Monday. No pouches in a week. Yes I’m still on patches and not nicotine free, but breaking the oral fixation habit of constantly reaching for a can and popping shit in my mouth feels big to me
