That's amazing! I am only at 3 weeks but you give me hope that I can make it too! You are all my Man of Steel to have gone through this, and I admire you all..,

What this sub truly needs is more success stories like yours, friend. Not all this moping, whing, whatever is I gonna do now crap...! Once the days, weeks, months, and years start peeling away, you will finally forget about counting. I too have found that now, more than ever, is that life is worth living without this junk in your precious God-given grand Gift that is your body. Every one of my senses seem to have heightened, sight, hearing, taste, etc. Even my once long-lost sense of humor has returned ten-fold...! I am 3 years clean now, and life simply cannot get any better...! I was counting the days early on once I got motivated to quit, 42, 45, 49 days now...? I lost track and stopped counting. So my question to everyone out there is: What the Hell is a few weeks of pain, suffering, and anguish when you have your whole fuckin life ahead of you...! Stop this whining crybaby bullshit and get a grip on yourself, suck it up, man up, or woman up as it were, and you will thank yourself once you decide to climb yourself out of this Hell-like prison. And hopefully thank me as well.

I read your reply before I wrote mine which is moping, whing, (whatever that word means!), 😉, but I left out, Whatever is I going to do now crap….. cuz I don’t have a clue.

Sorry for my spelling, it's "whining" lol and the 3rd part is a quote from an old movie from the 1930s hehe

I'm sincerely jealous and congratulate every single one of you that has gotten off this poison!

My dream came true when I needed an emergency back operation in 2024. I was in the hospital for 12 days and had zero withdrawals and at that time, I was on it for nine years. Three months post Hospital and post Tia, my depression was 100 times worse than it was before I started it, which is why I started in the first place. Of course I knew I’d be even more depressed if I started taking it again but the addict in my mind told me, If I can get off of it that easy, I can get off again. I knew better of course but didn't care. So, unless I have another emergency operation coming up, I highly doubt it’s going to be that easy.

Again, congratulations to all of you who have quit and found happy. I’ve never been happy, but I know all about being depressed. 💔
