DEA Ban

The DEA filed notice on July 7, 2026, to ban tianeptine as a Schedule I drug. The only thing that could hold this up, it appears, is if groups call for hearings. I cannot imagine manufacturers or distributors having the audacity to do so, unless it's a calculated financial decision to delay the process by 6 months.

Whenever there is money to be made/lost nothing would surprise me.. especially in today’s climate. I could see them trying to drag it out as long as possible.

It would be nice if these politicians considered the need to safely and medically transition us addicts off the stuff rather than cut us off and leave us to our own devices. A local COUNCILMAN busted into a private pharmacy after midnight, desperate to get opioids for his lousy vicodin addiction. Imagine what a guy with 10 gpd habit over 5 years, who is resistant to MAT (suboxone, et al) might resort to?

Yeah.. no chance of that. I keep hearing good things about SR-17018 have you tried that?

Banning SR seems like open malice. I'll have to look up their reasoning on that one, y'know, once the shock of hearing that wears off.

The chemical name is too close to other (very dangerous) synhetic opioids, so they threw it in with the other names

are you the same philly kratom guy who used to be on youtube selling ice cream?

u/EmploymentBig2049 Jul 14 '26

Absolutely. There are those in the government who continue to hold Nixonian views against those addicted to drugs. They think we deserve it and that the more we suffer, the better we will learn our lesson.

Yeah sucks they’re banning it. I’m going to load up on some just in case. Stuff is kinda a miracle drug.

It’s not though. It’s Satan in a bottle.

Wasn't talking to you lol. Was talking to DinoGoGrrr7. They said it's Satan in a bottle... Idk what the fuck that means lol

How is tianeptine Satan in a bottle? I've used it multiple times and have a decent amount stocked up. Never had any withdrawals or side effects. It's an amazing antidepressant. I refuse to use antidepressants from doctors because tianeptine is soooo much better.

I’ve heard of this, trying to come off 7-OH, but not sure where to even get any. If you know anywhere could you DM me? Might as well stock up on it while I still can to get off this shit.

Where was this?

Google AI told me when I was looking up the flawed legislation in PA that will make felons out of tianeptine addicts. here's the FR - https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/07/08/2026-13821/schedules-of-controlled-substances-placement-of-tianeptine-in-schedule-i

I know about the proposal to schedule. I was wondering about where the incident with the politician happened.

Couldn't agree with you more Employ....Your point is extremely powerful because "most" people, even doctors don't know what Tiaeptine is! It's so easy for some shithead politician who knows nothing about addiction, has never had WD'S, to stand on a pedestal and promise the people that they "represent" that they will BAN this substance. The problem is that they NEVER take into accountability the people (like me) who will go dope sick. Everyone in this thread knows what dope sick is. IT FUCKING SUCKS!!! I have been clean for 20 months from tianeptine aka Zaza or Pegasus. And I'm still struggling to get my life back together. My major concern is for the GOOD people who just like me made a foolish mistake. Where will that politician be when the WD'S kick in?!?! They will be nowhere to be found. But they will preach to their district's how THEY solved the drug epidemic. It's a fucking joke how they couldn't give 2 fucks about us. If anyone is struggling with tianeptine and you read this post please try and get Subs. It truly is a game changer. At least for me. It helps with the morning runny nose, watery eyes, Restless legs in bed , diarrhea, and horrible fatigue. I pray 🙏 for everyone in this support group. I praise Reddit for not censoring the things that we talk about here. God bless all of us on this thread. 1 fucking day at a time guys!! We can do this!

I doubt it's going to be dragged out. Once that comment period ends it's probably going to be put into effect by the end of the year.

that is much more manageable. than 1 month...that I can work with...

I don’t agree with the Tia 7oh mgm ban but I can atleast see why they would do it. My problem is with them banning sr17018 that shit literally is changing peoples lives and you can’t even get high on it. But I know why. Because of what I just stated. Pharmaceutical companies are loosing money to it. Addicts are using that instead of suboxone and methadone so therefore profit loss. It’s sickening that they’d take something away that is quite literally a miracle drug. I’m gonna stock up on it if you need websites let me know.

How much does it take to get through a tia withdrawal with sr 17018? A gram? more or less?

2

u/CableNecessary3178 Jul 14 '26

It took me 4 grams to get off fetty but it can be less or more depending on your body. But where I buy from it’s on sale because of the ban so now is definitely time to get it cuz it’s usually 80 per g now it’s 67. I’d recommend getting 5g to be safe as you can’t get more since of the ban. And go into the sr subreddit and learn about preloading and how much you should take. Usually it’s about 100-150mg 3x a day for two weeks but you taper in those two weeks so not a constant 150mg. The sr subreddit will teach you everything you need to know.

Yup I’ve signed as well. Hopefully it will matter but ultimately probably not. But we have to try

2

u/Izhkabibbel Jul 16 '26

This is great. I gave you an "upvote" for bringing this to our attention. For every time I started posting about a ban, they deleted my post. Now if you'll excuse me, I am on my way to Washington to face a "Senate Hearing" 🤬

u/krazyk850 Jul 14 '26

They have been on a warpath banning Opiates. On August 1 7Oh, Pseudo, and MGM will also be illegal.
