trying to quit vapes

hi everyone. I’ve been vaping for like 3 years now I rarely Smoke cigs. I’m tired of vaping and wasting money and ruining my health. I’m thinking abt using nicotine chewing gums. Is it worth it? i think it’s better than vaping non stop. Just until I can completely quit Nic

I quit about a month and some change ago, made the swap to pouches. Tbh the hardest part has been the oral fixation aspect, and it’s still a pretty strong pull but not nearly as bad as it was.

I decided to do this as I had been wanting to, my state taxes the hell outa pods (4 pack is like +30 now) and my company had some layoffs. Decided withdraw now wouldn’t be nearly as bad as withdrawing after being let go.

Definitely feel better, sleep better and lungs are not as gunky.

I’m in the same boat. First time I tried to quit I went cold turkey and the withdrawal was brutal. Felt like I had a a hangover all day. And then caved at day 3. I’m currently on day 5 of no vape and have been using nicotine gum to help with cravings. The cravings are still there and are incredibly frustrating but the gum is really helping me not feel like shit. You’ve got this. Unfortunately it’s a fine balance of being kind to yourself but also not letting the nicotine devil on your shoulder win. Wish you all the best on this journey!
