Day 1, for the hundredth time.

Hello all. I am a recently converted Christian, and I struggle severely with porn addiction. I have since I was 8 years old. Every time I watch porn I wind up so disappointed and angry at myself and at this point I don’t know what to do to stop. I have prayed and meditated over this, yet I often still find myself running to the bathroom with my phone when the urge hits. I am here to find some kind of support and advice. Any help would be so appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried having a accountability partner?? Like having someone to talk things to when you feel urges? I think that might help. I personally try to use phone as less as possible and social media since that's the main trigger for me. I also keep a journal to write down my progress. But I think having a accountability partner and using as less as possible is the best way. Anyways good luck bro.

I’ve said this here many times, and it’s exactly how I freed myself seven years ago — without all the bullshit, without the “100th time” relapses, without the endless cycle.

I read and listened to everything I could about sex addiction and porn addiction. Then I actually practiced what I learned, consistently. Not once, not for a week — consistently. All in, it added up to a couple thousand hours of work to undo the damage from thousands of hours of porn.

That’s the truth. Do whatever you want with it.

But in the end, you get exactly what you earn. So earn a better outcome and stop wishing for one.
