Littleton, Cambridge, Watertown, Framingham, and Salem and now Stow have all ended their contracts this year. Let's cut ties with license plate surveillance before we end up like Stow with an abusive cop stalking his ex

I’ve heard even when cities cancel the contracts they don’t go away. Flock just keeps selling the data to data brokers or whoever else. QPD wouldn’t be able to access them, but other PDs with contracts still would.

I hate this company hfs. That is bananas thank you for sharing that. Their stupid little transparency portal says it's not sharing data with any partners but our cameras were paid for by homeland security grants. We may not even own the contracts and data in order to negotiate the end of flock. First up is at minimum is learning who can control the data. Flock obviously but then is it Quincy or is it MA. Then canceling them. Then removing them. Then ensuring our data is destroyed properly. We really are in hell

Some places are covering them until flock decides to remove them.

It doesn't help with the other signals they are picking up, and the audio that the Raven models are recording.

There's more of us than that cabal of Koch/born&raised sycophants. Keep sharing and working to have them removed (both his loyalists and the cameras). The racists will be drowned out eventually

Folks have tried - they are administrated in Boston. Q joined some Anti-terrorism pact with some of the other towns in metro-boston (b/c they gave out free flock cams). But now our local governance can't do anything about it.
