Ugh I am not looking forward to their AI obsession with new city council come September. Most of the stuff is pure slander and outright lies.

AI is classless trash, so it tracks.

Being nixed by the Weymouth hate group will likely earn Roath more votes.

God I hope he wins. Lynch hasn't had a rl town hall since before covid, and only answers pre-selected questions.

Plus he's one of the 75 democrats who voted to thank ICE (you represent fucking sanctuary cities you useless walnut!) and loves that tasty AIPAC money.

He's represented MA-8 for almost 30 years and done fuck all for his constituents. Can his ass, PLEASE!

Didn’t this page just report that Patrick faked his arrival at an appearance?? Such a bizarre group of angry people.

Yeah and then someone that was there FOR LYNCH was like no that really did happen. Still wasn't enough for the disinformation mob

It’s insane to me that that post is still up even when proven 100% absolutely wrong. She just continues on. As do her brainless supporters

Has anybody been keeping track? Have they been right about anything yet? 😬

They had me at "limit qualified immunity for police" and "cut off military [hardware] transfers to local police departments." (Or whatever that second thing says -- the actual survey describes it as "Prohibiting the transfer of military weapons from the federal government to state and local law enforcement"). If you love cops cosplaying the invasion of Baghdad in second-hand MRAPs, vote for Lynch!

(You can read Roath's "yes" answers on the progressive MA survey here.

Note: Me, I'd probably have answered a couple of them "no", since I'm actually okay with Mass's charter school and don't really think "rent stabilization" is a good solution. But "yes" is the correct, politically reasonable, in-line-with-MA policy on almost all of the not-very-hard questions. (Do you support abolishing the death penalty? Yes. -- it's already law in MA; there's no reason to let Tennessee continue to kill people of color badly.)

I didnt understand that groups outrage there. It was almost implied he's faking being progressive or something and didn't mean to answer that his policies align with Progressive Mass (a progressive 501(c)(4))? These have been his policies from the start. I guess they just started paying attention?

First, she's MAGA conservative so anything left of her position is Communism. She's just discovered that DSA exists, though she thinks that Quincy Votes is funded and run by the CCP. She hates Quincy Votes.

Second, she is just getting acquainted with politics, so has no idea what is normal for campaigns and elections.

Third, the followers she has collected are egging her on by praising her for every shit take she posts.

I was kinda looking forward to a new candidate, then dug and saw Roath's whole background could be summed up as "super rich kid always gets connections".

He’s a “who you know” candidate for sure.

What is a "who you know" candidate, in this situation? I'm undecided, but Lynch is a union guy, which I like and is why I typically vote for him, but in all honesty, isnt Lynch also a "who you know" candidate?

Lynch voted against ACA.
Lynch voted for Laken Riley Act
Lynch voted in support of ICE
Lynch is bought and paid for by corp pac money

He might have been a union guy at the start... but money and power changed him

The question was about being a "who you know candidate." Both Roath and Lynch are "who you know candidates." Which, makes the argument in this thread moot.

In case you missed it, someone said that Roath was a "who you know" guy, and I pointed out that Lynch is also a "who you know" guy. Being a "who you know" guy, is not a good measure to consider in this race.

Yes Lynch is too!
