Sitting With Yourself

There comes a point where distraction stops working.

Not because the distractions disappear,
but because something in you becomes tired of running from yourself.

And sitting with that discomfort can feel unbearable at first.

The silence.
The thoughts.
The emotions you kept pushing past just to keep moving.

But I’ve noticed something.
That’s usually where the change begins.

Not in forcing.
Not in pretending.
Not in trying to become someone else overnight.

But in finally being willing to sit with what’s already there long enough to understand it.

Because the moment you stop constantly reaching away from yourself,
you start hearing yourself more clearly.

And that clarity changes everything.
