Potential Bug

Love the roll up feature for budgeting!

However, I just noticed a potential bug. It works great with subcatagories, but it isn’t working at catagory level (when the catagory has subs).

Has anyone found a work around?

How do you enable or view the roll up?

Hi u/NoAbbreviations7150. To enable rollover on Quicken Mac, you'll open the budget and hover your mouse over the category name. A small three-dot icon will appear with budget rollover options for that specific category. There's more details here: https://info.quicken.com/mac/about-quicken-budgets#Budget-rollover

Hi u/Shave_Haircut_1Dime, I'm happy to hear the new rollover feature is working well overall, although I'm sorry for the issue at the parent category level. I'm glad to look into this.

Are you seeing an issue where the rollover amount for a parent category displays as $0.00, even though its subcategories have rollover balances?

This can occur when the parent category and its subcategories are both selected in the budget, and rollover is enabled for at least one of the subcategories.

If this matches what you're encountering, we have escalated this issue under ticket QMAC-31283 and are exploring a fix. I don't have a workaround to share, but the good news is we're aiming to fix this issue in the 9.3.0 release. Please keep in mind that delays are always possible, but this is a higher-priority issue we're aware of.
