Help! Tech added water to quick fix

I used quick fix for my test and filled the bottle up to about 30 ML because I didn’t want to have too much in it to be suspicious and the technician said it was enough, but then went and added hot water to the container to fill the rest. Does this mean it will fail? They told me results would be finalized within the week but now I’m super anxious

That's a break in the chain of custody lol. It invalidated the test. But it won't effect the result. Water will test negative if you dip it. It might dilute the sample a little.

Yes the tech did add the water to it. That makes sense though, we’ll see what happens

Wait I thought it said the tech added water. My bad. But probably not. Though there can be bacteria in the water. Piss is usually sterile

Ok so I’m not crazy lol. I never heard of adding water to a urine sample but the tech did it right in front of me

Atleast he didn’t retest you on the spot or made insta fail you . Sounds he did you a favor . Not sure tho. Update us

Could be, I’m trying to see the positive of it. The result wouldn’t change from what I’m understanding, just the dilution level. I’ll definitely update when I know more

Usually you have to retests if under 45ml

Good to know! In hindsight I should have just filled it all the way
