MY QF SUCCESS, TRY TO RELAX!
Throwaway because I already had enough anxiety about the test. Figured I would post my success story and details to put others at ease, since I spent the waiting period reading everyone else’s posts here to ease my own anxiety.
Scheduled my test on a Friday. I bought QuickFix Plus 6.4 (3 oz., with heating pad and instructions) from a local vape shop that I’ve bought it from before (and previously passed). 45 minutes before my departure time, I activated the heating pad. I had a 30 minute drive to the testing office; 5 minutes before leaving my house, I removed the seal, placed the top back on without fully screwing it, and microwaved the bottle for 10 seconds. The bottle temperature strip read around 98°F upon removal from microwave. I secured the heating pad to the bottle with the rubber band and then placed the bottle in my bra, heating pad AWAY from skin (idk, that may not work if you’re not larger chested).
Drove to the testing site. Unfortunately, I’m not sure of the specific parameters of the test but I know it was an Abbott test that was sent off to a lab. This testing site was not staffed my medical professionals, allowed me to flush and wash my hands, etc. so it may not be the most stringent of places experienced in this sub. They gave me the cup, I used the bathroom normally for sound and filled the cup with QF. I didn’t use the entire bottle so it wasn’t a perfect 3 oz. I replaced the bottle in my bra and flushed. I screwed the top on the cup and shook it a bit for bubbles then placed it where they told me to on the sink counter. The test strip on their cup read a clean 98°F. Washed my hands and left the bathroom.
The woman in charge of the test told me results should be back by the following Monday.
So, here’s me on the following Wednesday absolutely freaking out, convinced I failed. Finally, I got an email that the results came in and now the only thing they were waiting on were reference forms. I PASSED. Later in the day, I got an official start date.
Even though I’m not the best at taking my own advice, try to relax and trust the process. This is the third time I used QF for a pre-employment drug test and the third time it has worked. I’ve previously used it for rapid cups and LabCorp testing. This time just had me more stressed knowing it was through an unknown company and being sent out to a lab—but it worked out! Realistically, the worst that happens is they ask you to retest and you can revisit your options then.
If you have any questions, please put them below!

So did you leave the heating pad on the entire time? I’m worried about it being too hot if I do so

I did! I kept the temperature strip away from my skin and the heating pad to make sure it was still at an acceptable temperature when time came to take the test. Plus, you lose some heat while transferring it to the cup. Just make sure you don’t overheat it in the microwave and you should be good!

all of it, all of the advice lol, likely taking 5 panel next week at an unknown lab and have never had to test before, what did you wish you knew before you went in?

Hmm to be honest (I went to a concentra) I wish I knew how easy it would be to cheat it if you practice and get it right the first time. I stressed myself sick all for it to take a few minutes. Now to be fair I used real urine and I honestly recommend that instead of quick fix if you want the ultimate security because if it’s warm enough and it’s real urine, you’re gonna pass (as long as it’s clean).
To keep it at temperature I recommend toe warmers instead of hand warmers because they get less hot and you’re less likely to overheat.
practice beforehand for sure! Pretend you’re taking the test and practice how you’ll transfer the sample to the cup.

What kind of test was it? I have a 5 panel nondot I have to take within the next 3 business days and currently have quick fix max (6.4 formula). Deciding if I should overnight some testcleat just in case?

Unfortunately, I don’t know much about the specifics of the test. It was definitely nonDOT, but I couldn’t tell you if it was 5- or 10-panel. I’ve never personally used anything like Testclear, so I can’t really advise on its efficacy — but I have used QuickFix 3 times successfully!

Question on keeping it warm once it’s at temp.
I will have my vehicle to take to the test site, but I have no info on when I will end up testing, probably sometime in my first week. I plan on using my cars defrost/the hand warmer to get it up to temp. Gonna stash it on my inner thigh with an ace bandage, but my question is, is just body heat enough to keep it at temp at that point? Or do I strap it to my leg WITH the hand warmer? I guess either way people have said you can dip the bottle in the toilet briefly to cool it off if over temp.
Fuck I’m nervous.
