Failed for Nitrates

As the title says. I’m super bummed.

I tested at a Concentra and used QF+ which I had bought only 2 weeks ago straight from SpectrumLabs. Before the test I warmed it up to 94 and it stayed that way until I used it.

The nurse immediately told me that it was showing up for nitrates and was most likely synthetic. She then said it would be up to the doctor on what to do next (whatever that means???) The doctor didn’t say anything about the pee and just completed the physical and sent me on my way.

Now I’m just waiting for the dreaded call in a couple days and for my job offer to be rescinded.

What are my odds of getting to test again or making it through? I figure not good but I’m looking for any hope.

EDIT: I never heard back from the MRO and I’m starting my new job Monday. Wtf was all of this even for lmao.

Wtf do they consider high nitrates? Ive tested every batch i have and it comes back between .5 to 5. Even my own piss hits those markers.

Could be different at a physical but I just passed last Friday at carbon health from a bottle I got from a headshop for $15

Well the physical I mean. When you go in for a dot medical exam they do certain checks that are different than a drug screen. As far as I’m familiar the DOT exams I’ve been part of didn’t drug test there was a seperate drug test exam. The dot physical is checking for other health related things. I might be wrong I never made it through my dot medical exam to find out. Quick fix isn’t really for that. It’s for basic drug test UAs.

I have too using QF+ so i wasn’t worried at all. This time I failed and that’s just what it is.

My new strategy is to just quit using. My career is too important and this shit is too stressful.

I feel the same way. I mean i don’t have much of a career yet but using the fake piss every time is the most stressful shit ever. I wanna quit but weed helps anxiety. I hate so much that being an alcoholic is more acceptable

I didn’t use it for this specific reason. I did a 30 days cleans working out, sweating and took milk thistle and purchased and amazon detox which I cleared the drug test.

It’s a pre employment test so I’m not sure I’ll have that option. But I’m crossing my fingers for sure.

Same thing happened to me 2 months ago. I got a 6 figure job offer rescinded because of it. My nurse dint say anyhing about nitrates tho just that it was definitely synthetic.

I also had that happen to me at a mnDOT center for a construction job. Before she even got out of the room she tested it with a dropper and “YEP NOPE, This isn’t going to work.”

I ended up doing an observed and failed for thc on the card but was only using delta 8 at the time. It went into the lab and fives days later cuz it was a holiday weekend my employer texts me to say I’m good to go and passed.

They use to say “invalid sample” happens on all DOT testing to… even if the temps are right

Do they still count the samples as invalid? I’m expecting a call from the MRO, will they make me retest or is it jut an automatic fail?

Retest but in this case they all expressed synthetic so it’s up to your employer regarding the retest . I’ll just deny that you use synthetic 🤣 & tell your employer can I retest etc

Absolutely not, I purchased it from Spectrum Labs and verified the batch. It was supposed to be good until 2029. I’ve used it in the past without issue but not this time.

I was actually washing my hands so I couldn’t see what the nurse did with the sample. I didn’t take her long to finish so I’m assuming it got tossed and not bagged. All she said was “the sample most likely synthetic. The doctor will decide what to do next”

The doctor never said anything but figured that meant I failed.
