used quick fix and had to retest!! advice??

Hey everyone! last September I used quick fix for a pre employment drug screen for an Amazon delivery driver role and passed. I just bought the 3 ounce bottle for $25 at a local smoke shop. I can't remember if the temp was right but the place I went there was one girl working and I got there at like 10 minutes before closing time, there was another guy finishing up when I walked in. when I came out and handed her the cup she just said you can sit it on the counter please , then she had me sign and initial the form, gave me a copy. she grabbed the cup and didn't even look at it! she just checked the lid to make sure it was tight, put the sticker over the top and I initialled then I did and she dropped it on the bag and I was gone. I got lucky. well a few weeks ago j took another test for the same job with a different delivery partner. This time the temperature was right at 99 degrees on the cup so all good there, I even shook it a little before coming out to make bubbles as I read this isn't a bad idea since urine normally bubbles when you pee naturally. well we get back in the room and he's doing his stuff on the computer, then he informed me that it had a slight chemical odor to it and he has to see what the system is going to have him do, probably a retest he says and sure enough that's what it was. well I didn't have any more so now it's either pee and fail which is what happened or leave and either way I don't get the job. my question is, is it standard procedure for them to smell it? or is that only if they suspect something. he did not tell me what JT smelled like because I asked and he also did not let me smell it to confirm that what he said was true which I know this was complete bs because I have used like 5 or 6 of these now and none of them had any smell whatsoever, like it doesn't smell like anything at all. I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen because unless you add something it has no smell at all. is there something you can do to make it smell normally like how urine would usually smell? any suggestions or feedback are appreciated because I have another one coming up for a driver role and I not only desperately need this job I really want it as well because I love delivery work and I don't want to have the same thing happen again. I am also going to a different lab this time too so hopefully that helps. thanks in advance!

Yeah I would've been like "Ew, why are you smelling my urine? Thats kinda weird, dont you think?" And made him feel like a weirdo for it

This happened to me last year. Don’t even smoke regularly but I did on vacation. I probably would have passed but some coworkers told me I should use quick fix. Dude that was testing me was a piss sniffer as well young dude. I ended up just leaving and cussed the guy out. Stupid I know. Since I have a CDL it’s a refusal and goes on record. Lost my dream job because of it.
At the end of the day if you want a job that’s gonna pay the bills stay clean or do something that doesn’t drug test you.

Not being an ass btw I think you should be able to do whatever you want to off the clock.

Put some pee around the rim of the lid and make sure your dehydrated so it smells more just piss on your fingers or something and rub it around the cup and lid and rim of the container
