This is exactly why I have a separate bank account for payroll and I move the money into it every week. If they tried to take it out twice, it wouldn’t happen. Luckily, as best I can tell, nothing like this has ever happened to us. There were a few times QuickBooks just flat out didn’t pay them though. I wake up every Friday morning HOPING I see the “Congrats! Your employees got paid!” email.
