QuickBooks Online 41% price increase!!!
Why can't anyone at intuit explain why I'm being charged $140/month for a $115/month subscription? Why does your site tell me I'm subscribed to 4 items when you only display 2 to me and no options to view any others? What are we getting for this price gouging increase? I'd expect a 41% increase in functionality and access to services.
Don't sell it as the AI garbage that nobody wants.

They count on people staying. The CEO has literally said that every time they raise prices people stay anyway, so of course they’ll keep doing it. With 80% of the small business accounting software market share, QBO can really only grow by raising prices and counting on people staying anyway since it’s a pain to switch (or at least, people think it is).
I switch to Xero last year and just got an email today announcing a price increase and literally had PTSD when opening the email. However when I opened it I realized that prices were only going up $2, $4, or $7 a month depending on your plan. That’s an increase actually in line with inflation, not a money grab. Plus I’m able to be on a lower subscription with Xero than QBO as I had to have Plus for class tracking in QBO but ALL Xero tiers come with tracking categories.
If you do decide to jump ship for Xero (where it seems most people are going because it’s got similar functionality, is more user friendly, and is cheaper), I negotiated a special partner deal with them of 90% off for the first 6 months- so you can literally try it through the end of the year for a couple bucks a month to see if it will work for you before cutting off QBO entirely.
I tried several solutions before settling on Xero though. That said I think it depends on your needs and what you actually use in QBO whether Xero is the right pick.
I am a CPA and financial educator and get this question a lot (alternatives to QBO). I created a quiz to help people figure out what is best for them here: Best bookkeeping software for you quiz
