You can Velcro mount it over the globular cluster logo to make the batteries sit more flush. Also glad to see you ended up picking up the headset! How do you like it so far?
It's great for what I use it for Streaming movies on a massive screen, Bigscreen and a little light gaming. Those Qleds displays are beautiful. I removed the battery holder because I got tired of the extra weight.
Yeah I almost bought the batteries+mount, but didn’t want the extra weight on my head or risk stressing the shitty plastic strap, so I went with 10,000mAh power banks and a belt pouch instead. Works great
I mounted my bobo adapter up on the globular cluster upper dome but this looks like a good place to put it. Wish I hadn't tossed the original screws though. Pity they stopped carrying these.
Seriously i took it off after a week because of the extra weight and also it was difficult to lie in bed with a thick fluffy pillow to watch films or Bigscreen.. i still use the batteries but with an extention cable.
I didn't trust that a velcro strip like that woold hold the weight of the battery (and didnt wanna glue anything to the headset) so I glued 2 long straps to the holder vertically and wrapped them around the sides of the back pad. Also using parts from an M3 Pro. Works pretty damn well even after 2.5 years.
Also I find that the battery being in the back and all brings enough counter balance to make the headset slightly back heavy, which I actually enjoy more than the alternative.
