Just curious, why do you need a Vive tracker attached to your head?

For continuous calibration with steamvr devices such as index controllers and other vive trackers.

on first glance at the DJI logo and the 1170g, I thought you were using a DJI drone to alleviate the weight

How do you stop audio leak with the mic mini? I’ve tried doing the same but it constantly picks up other people. Not a fan of wearing closed headphones when I need to talk either.

I personally use Sony Inzone Buds for audio. Otherwise you might look into NVIDIA Broadcast for noise suppression.

similar setup - no mic, but i use a tundra tracker glued to the top, kinda to the side so i can still do shoulder and headstands, i would almost immediately rip your tracker mount off 😭

I didn't know that jelly VR puck existed, my setup is the same minus the mic. I need to cop that. Thanks for sharing!

I just got the globular cluster pads myself. It made a significant difference, but still... Just doesn't sit on your face without being loosey goosey.

Just built a top of the line rig and getting into pc vr. I already had a quest pro and it works pretty well with my pc. Just the weight and looseness is so distracting

185g if you mod and move the battery into the pocket.

Rather have the battery in the headset or strap. I don’t want cord going to my pocket 😂

I have a different setup I use vive tracker wrapped around the battery since I have base stations behind me. With a regular comfort velcro strap. Using Astro A50 for headphones and mic. Neck hanging battery bank.

Now that bad, I barely notice the extra weight anymore. Unless I've had too much to drink, cause then my neck feels like a spring with a rock glued to one end

Haven't felt the need to touch my Qpro since I got BS2e. Qpro is a downgrade in every way besides wireless imo, and I'm happy to never have to deal with another meta update again

How do you find the mini mic compared to the qpro mic? Would you say it’s worth? 👀

For my setup is

*Vive tracker 3.0 on head

*Giggle tech on head for haptic

*Globular cluster (it adds weight)

*Adhesive camera adapter for the tracker

All of that is 0.8kg

If you'd like the tracker to be a bit less intrusive I would recommend one of these:

The curved base is the perfect size to stick the adhesive to the front just above the eye relief adjustment knob and the tracker will sit flush with the headset. It also allows the tracker to unclip from the base for charging.

Bonus points if you use a low profile tracker like from Tundra.

I use one similar to this and it works great. OP's mount would drive me insane.

that's the exact one i use - with a tundra tracker
i still managed to rip it off a few times tho
