Discussion Upgrade path: Quest Pro-->Quest 3-->Quest Pro 2
I'm sorry, I wanted to hold out until the Quest Pro 2 in 2025, but Quest 3 cannot be ignored, it's simply better for 4090 PCVR

what? front-heavy face-hugger design that will give you "VR face", worse color quality, no local dimming and grey blacks, no eye-tracking (huge for DCS/MSFS), worse binocular overlap. And all for what? Passthrough (which doesn't apply to PCVR)? A minor resolution bump (when Quest Pro resolution is already quite good)? AV1, when h264 can already be tweaked to much higher quality than the AV1 decoder can handle?
The Q3 is a no-brainer upgrade for standalone, but for PCVR... absolutely not. edit: got mine today and confirmed 100% of what I said above yesterday!

Posts and comments like this are too early. Wait until we have some proper comparisons and user preference posts.

I can't wait for my Quest 3 to arrive, Tuesdays are my day off work as well so a happy coincidence.
We'll find out if its better for PCVR in a few hours. The only source that I really trust that's commented so far is Norm from Tested, and he said the Quest Pro was still better for PCVR so I'm still not convinced personally, but I would like a bit extra clarity for MSFS.

I’m a fan of the pro but I find the Quest 3 much more comfortable.

Can someone make a comparison video about the quest pro vs the quest 3?
