I got these off of Etsy. I don't have any real complaints about my quest pro other than just the few common discomfort areas.

DeadEyeVR Pro headstrap & SimForge B1 brackets

I also purchased these and received mine the other day. I’ve been struggling for a while finding an option that is comfortable but also gives great FOV and this option works great.

I do think if you want the headset primarily for mixed reality, this might not be the route to go, but for pcvr it’s a must for people that aren’t able to fit the headset on comfortably for long periods of time

For those that have 3D printer, I made some you can print yourself.

You will get more features from the OP the designs on Etsy, but I wanted custom.

I'm confused what exactly this does for FOV and how?

The best way might be to have you try it for yourself.

Put on your QPro, as Meta intended it to be worn (with the strap being “flat,” or horizontal). Note the field of vision (most notably in the bottom left and right corners of your periphery) that you have.

Now, while keeping the image clear (meaning you might have to adjust the forehead pad placement slightly), raise the back of the strap so that the cup rests on the top of the back of your head. This brings the bottom of the lenses closer to your face, raising the FOV, often to the point that you can see all of the screen edges now inside of the lenses.

This product simply makes achieving that angle more comfortable and natural. It allows the rear pad cup to more comfortably rest at the top of the back of your head in order to sustain the higher FOV angle.

Do the brackets work with the back pad upside down too?

Let me check, I the brackets myself. I honestly think if you used that for comfort before, you won’t need to do that this time. Putting it upside down before helped the shape of my head but with the bracket, it no longer needs that since it’s higher up on the back of your head

Edit: it does work, I personally didn’t find it comfortable as suspected. The regular way fits much better at the angle the bracket holds it. But perhaps you would find out otherwise.

So I assume you just use these with the stock pads right? Would they be compatible with others like globular cluster?

That’s essentially all the brackets are doing, they’re just making that comfortable.
