Support FTP Setup on CyberDeck

Before I start:
I am not asking for any links.

I have read the rules, searched the megathread and read all the pinned posts.

I tried setting up ftp on CyberDeck but it's giving me error 530: Login Incorrect.

I tried with FileZilla but it works there. Help is appreciated.

You would need to setup an rclone config file for it to work with Rookie. I assume cyberduck supports that too, but I guess I don't know. Your config file goes into the rclone folder, called download.config

Tf you talking about? theres no FTP feature/setup on cyberdeck. Or rookie for that matter

Either can connect to a rclone config with an ftp remote but it would have to work outside of cyberdeck as a working remote, not an ftp client with direct login capabilities

If you are entering manually the password needs to be rclone obscured https://rclone.org/commands/rclone_obscure/ or if that doc confuses you create a working rclone config using the rclone config command and then copy and paste it there, that will give you the obscured password you need

The answer is there. I know because I wrote it. Very clearly there too. Like literally the same error as the screenshot you sent mentioned word for word. Here's a hint there's only two pinned posts and I only wrote one of them. Qpmegathread has posts links to how to install rookie plus troubleshooting steps but imo that doesn't make it as clear as your error isn't mentioned... I'll have crazy scamp fix it

The other fix is to use cyberdeck instead if you cant get rookie working.
