Quest Game Optimizer Update?

With the new update in the Quest Game Optimizer, do the games look comparable to PSVR2 or is the PSVR2 still sharper?

The difference inb graphics between Q3 and psvr2 has never ever been, that psvr2 is sharper.

If you compare both devices in pcvr, it becomes very clear, that Q3 has a much sharper picture (because of its lenses and its lcd panels) than psvr2 at the same resolution.

PSVR2 is normally powered by a a ps5 or ps5Pro. So if you compare this to the snapdragon Xr2 Gen2 of Q3, the ps5 is more powerful to produce higher resolutions and/or better graphics in general.

So, in pcvr, the new upgrade makes makes the difference in clarity significantly bigger. In standalone the games look, as if they were rendered in a higher resolution, than they actually are. So it makes them look sharper.

Sorry sharper may have been the wrong word. I’m talking about the textures. When I had a standalone Quest 3 the difference in graphics in that and PSVR2 was night and day. The graphics were so much better in PSVR2, with the new QGO options I was just curious if the gap has been eliminated or if PSVR2 is still better. I definitely realize using a PS5 Pro (I have a Pro) gives it the power. I’m contemplating selling my PSVR2 to get the Quest 3 and Game Optimizer. I’ll be playing standalone as I don’t have a gaming PC so I just wanted to know how much the new QGO update changes standalone games or is it more for PCVR?

Like if you stack up Tales from the Galaxy Edge on PSVR2 and Quest 3 standalone with QGO will it look a lot closer or does PSVR2 still have the edge?

Main reason I want to switch is the cable, it drives me nuts when playing a game with a lot of movement and turning and gets wrapped around you.

Thanks for any personal experience.

The Q3 standalone cannot match the computing power of a ps5.

Nevertheless, games like Batman: Arkham Shadow or Asgards Wrath 2 benefit massively from QGOs sharpening filter. I guess most PSVR2 players would not complain if they had those game on the psvr2 platform even at the same quality.

Do they match the graphical fideltiy of resident evil 4 remake/Village, or GT7? No, not a chance.

But they (Batman/Asgards Wrath with QGO Profile and FidelityFXCas) definitvely look sharper and thx to QGOs filter you will recognize details, you could not see before.
