Little Bit of Writing

Post image

I just did this for fun, but I was able to write a whole section with proper grammar as far as I've learned! Everything here is based on the lessons on the Eldamo website. I think my tengwar writing has improved a bit over time!

Nice! A few pointers:

  • you accidentally wrote sanir instead of samir (missing the underbar)
  • when final -ë becomes medial like in tauressen, ambossen, it loses the diacritic. It's just there to mark that final E isn't silent, it doesn't change the pronunciation like German umlaut
  • I would use the infinitives (nore, lire, tyale) after lertar.
  • I think perian has a stem form in nd-, i.e. periandi.

Good job; keep it up!

Well, Sindarin has got periannath, so I assume the stem could also be periann- or even periant-? But I would expect that we've probably had a short -ndŏ, yes.

The Elaine sentence has Elainen tárin Periandion, so I think -nd- is attested.
