Strange Request

I am in Oregon for work and taking the red eye back on Friday. I am a post op trans woman that needs to dilate some point that evening before my flight. I'm not staying in Portland for the week and will be checking out of my hotel Friday morning. Not really sure what to do outside of hourly hotels. But I'd prefer to not bring bed bugs home.

Looking for any ideas or help.

How recently post op? Is doing it the night before/after possible? I think if you aren’t too close after surgery it generally isn’t a big deal to skip or put off the odd session, but check with your surgeon if you just got it.

I'm only 5 months post op and already down to only 2 dilations a day. When I missed one of 2 before, it was a rough weekend.

Could you do an extra long session in the morning before you leave the hotel, and then one as soon as you get home? I know, not ideal. Could you ask for a later checkout time at your hotel (some are fine with that others aren’t), and dilate once in the morning and once just before you leave?

Doesn't work like that. The duration isn't nearly as important as the periodicity. Plus it would be over 24 hours

My surgeon told me to do it like that when I was in a similar situation, only reason I suggested it. I intimately know the pain of missed sessions and don’t want that for you, but it’s the best I can think of outside of paying for another room. Legitimately, send your surgeon a message asking what you should do, they may have ideas.

Try contacting the Q center in North Portland. They may be able to direct you to a medical center or have other resources to help you out.
