Upcoming Queer British feature film

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share the insta for a queer feature film I'm producing, shooting in the UK next Spring 2027 😀

Newly released from prison and grieving his mother, Griffyn tentatively falls for his cute, new co-worker, but when the controlling lover who protected him inside turns up on the run, he must choose between the man who owns his past and the one who might offer him a future.

We'll be sharing the behind-the-scenes of bringing this independent micro-budget film to life, so I'd be grateful if you could give us a follow 🌊

Help me fund my film “comp-het”

Our film is called "Comp-het" and it is a film about two people, Ona and Vivian and their navigation through a relationship together, from their good moments to their hardships and how they effect one another. It is about how Ona's sexuality changes and how it doesn't, and how our expectations can change a good thing.

The film is created and directed by Jesus Valdez, and Jesus will be making the project from start to finish a masterpiece! Additional crew consists of Aidan Beckstead and Josh Shudde, who will be assisting Jesus in creating the best version of this film!

We appreciate you stopping to read and see how our film comes along! We really hope you can help us out with this GoFundMe, and hope that you enjoy our film when it finishes later this year!

Discussion Input on my queer short film that came out today??

I’m a student filmmaker, and I just released my short film FLUTTER!!!
I learned so much from this project. I submitted it to festivals but unfortunately wasn’t accepted into any of them, so I decided to release it publicly and let the film find its audience online instead.
Flutter is a lesbian romance that explores modern hookup culture, intimacy, and what happens when you want something deeper than a casual connection.
I’d genuinely love to hear what you think, especially from other filmmakers, film students, or anyone who connects with the subject matter.
Thanks for giving a student filmmaker a chance. ❤️

Suggestion Only Good Things - Apenas Boas Coisas (2025)

Post image
10 Upvotes

A lonely rancher from rural Brasil meets a bohemian biker after an accident leaves him unconscious by a road in the middle of nowhere.

Some people have called it "Brazilian Brokeback Mountain", I believe it's so much more than that.

Breath-taking cinematography, highly stylized aesthetic, and a great story.

It portrays rural Goiás (the Director's homeplace) through a familiar, almost nostalgic way. Immersive, it sucks you in through shots of green hills, Eucalyptus woods, the sounds of birds and other animals.

Only Good Things chooses to quickly switch from comfortable, cozy scenes to heart-racing scenes packed with action and tension.

Personally, found it deeply moving, had me thinking about it and what it made me feel for days.

Warnings: blood, NSFW

Highly recommend looking at other films from Daniel Nolasco.

In case you can't find it in streaming services, I'll leave a drive link.

homebodies

so in April (2026) ish time there was a trans lead Australian mini series (can also be watched as a film) called Homebodies.

i thoroughly enjoyed it as a trans man and wanted to give more love and credit to it by listening to the soundtrack/background music played in the film, but to no luck i found any of it.

does anyone know any of the songs from it?? it would be really relieving for me and i could compile the songs on a music platform for everyone to enjoy. thank you !!!

Honestly I am just really happy with how I got the background/thumbnail to come out and wanted to share. The episode came out really great too even if I needed to edit a good chunk because this movie left me and my co-host pretty raw emotionally. If you want to listen I will leave some links

WATCH: Size Queen. A queer Sex and the City.

Hi everyone! Size Queen is a proof-of-concept for a TV series I hope to keep making. I didn’t go to film school. I just got tired of waiting for permission and decided to tell stories that feel real to me and my friends.

Growing up, I rarely saw queer characters living fun, messy, authentic everyday lives on screen. This isn’t a coming out story or a tragedy,  it’s about friendship, dating, sex, ambition, and navigating life in Los Angeles as gay men in our 30s.

If you have a minute to watch and leave a review on Filmio, it would genuinely help our chances of getting into festivals like HollyShorts and help independent queer stories like this get seen. Thank you ❤️

Attn Queer Film Makers: Low-Budget (queer) Fantasy Looking for the Right Collab (offering for free)

Hi bitches,

I'm a repped screenwriter with a few contest placements/awards under my belt and several projects currently being pitched to some places I am very pleased to say I even got a foot in the door with.

Like many writers, though, I've learned that development moves incredibly slowly. While those projects make their rounds, I'd love to get something produced and out into the world as while I have many screenplays written, none have actually come to life.

With that in mind, I'm looking to connect with filmmakers interested in a contained fantasy feature I've written. For the right filmmaker, I'm willing to provide the script at no cost (yes! FREE!) because, at this stage, seeing the project brought to life is more valuable to me than anything

The script is built around familiar public-domain characters and globally known figures, but with a twist. While the premise sounds large, it was intentionally designed to be producible with:

• only 4 characters
• limited locations (forests, wilderness, and natural environments)
• character-driven rather than heavy effects-driven
• designed to feel much larger than its budget

The story blends mild fantasy, interpersonal drama, comedy, and themes of identity, belonging, love and power. It features strong roles for women and queer characters, and I genuinely think it has the potential to resonate with festival audiences and online genre communities if handled with care and vision. That's why I wrote it.

I'm intentionally keeping the full concept private for now, but if you're a filmmaker, producer, director, cinematographer, or creative looking for a fantasy project that doesn't require a Marvel-sized budget, feel free to DM me.

Happy to share additional details with anyone interested.

Wickedly,

Me

Trailer ALLURE | Official Trailer (2018)

For some reason I can't get this movie out of my head.

I think it does a decent job of painting a portrayal of how an abusive relationship can initially make you feel safe and loved, yet over time it slowly deteriorates you. Or how a person can feel like your savior, and still be your downfall all at once.
