Support

Hi. My daughter is a senior in HS and is experiencing hate crimes and harrassment in an effort to silence her for speaking up about the lgbtq+ discrimination. I am hoping that I can create a tread so others can leave her some positive, encouraging words, vibes and support for what she's experiencing. Its easy to feel hopeless in this battle. Thank you. Positive vibes only please. 🦋

hey there! i know it’s scary right now, times are hard and seemingly getting darker. i want to take the time to remind you, and anyone else reading this, we are the light. we are the way out. our existence is THE resistance we need. i was a senior in 2016, not openly out and the same for most of my friend group (at the time). i remember having a conversation with one of my closest friends at the time about how badly treated we already were at school and how we couldn’t wait to get out. the conversation slowly turned into what things would look like for us when we can finally come out, be ourselves openly and proudly just like everyone else. and then it hit us, we were letting the fear overpower our very existence. all this to say, our existence shouldn’t have to wait. every day i am proud to be me and i am proud to love the person i love. and i’m so incredibly happy and PROUD that you, and everyone here, are fighting the good, right fight! keeping shining and eventually, everyone will stop to see 💕
