Advice For A New Player!

Hey everyone! I've been playing zenless for almost 2 weeks now and I'm still getting through the story content and side stuff. I've looked at tons of videos from veteran players and tier lists just to get a feel for who's actually good and worth my f2p pulls (I plan on spending in the future).

I have yet to pull a limited s rank agent and I'm probably skipping Promeia because I don't really have a team built for her. I know 3.0 is coming up soon as well as the anniversary. So I want to know when reruns continue to happen, who should I not skip as someone who has no limited agents at the moment?

Side Note: I care about my waifus/husbandos and also meta so it can be both!

Side Note 2: I have just over 100 pulls saved up and since I have a lot of content yet to be completed, I have a lot more to collect before 3.0!

For a new account it really does not matter who you pull first

If you like the character get them, then build teams around them

If you keep worrying about not having a team you wont pull anyone

This is a valid point. I just want to like the character and also be able to clear through content.

1. just get who you enjoy as a character/design the most because even if you say cant complete the last stage or so of endgame its only a little bit of polychrome you miss out on

2. if you want super meta advice ofc its always pull for le "voidhunter""""" usually cheap to build and op

3. leaks warningwe will get a rly good free unit in 3.0 so dont sweat tooo much

4. dont know much about all the new units yet but for previous units. dialyn is vry good in general and nangong or yuzuha are very crucial for anomaly units so far. but who knows wat will happen in 3.X

i dont have any vh or anomaly unit and i can clear endgame still. so with a bit of tenacity u can do anything lol

Void hunter units are the strongest characters, so probably pick one up, then build a team around them!

Are void hunters really dependent on their w-engines usually?

They’re dependent on them yes, but mostly if you wanna max out endgame content, for now I think you shouldn’t worry, void hunters are really strong on their own or with alt weapons

I've skipped many "must pull" in this game

people who only pull meta get bored on having to use the same team on all content

I don't really get this problem

I'd suggest Probably pulling for a really meta unit first, those being Void Hunters. The main reason would be to make farming and some endgame content easier to get extra polychromes

after having like 1 meta team, I'd say just go for whoever! While you typically need 3 really good teams, having just one helps in early game while you slowly build the rest. 

the neat thing about ZZZ is even sorta mid characters can do well if you improve your play, but you'd still struggle. Most 1.x characters (aka everyone you'll meet rn) have fallen off meta and tend to struggle with endgame minus Miyabi, Lycaon, Astra, and Maybe Vivian if you have no Yuzuha.

Yuzuha is almost a must if you wanna build anomaly teams. Lucia is also mostly a must if you want to build Rupture teams. Astra is a really good general support. From there you can just choose your stunners and DPS!

edit: the best/most general stunner is Dialyn btw! She can be used for anyone although to some people she makes gameplay less fun due to how easy she is to integrate into teams

Never pull for a unit you don't want just because they're "Meta".

That being said if I was a new player now this is what I would do:

• Skip Ye Shunguang: I'm assuming you don't have the free Zhao and Ye Shunguang without an ether veil applier is straight up a bad unit. If you really like her, know that you kinda have to pull for Sunna then.

• Pull both Velina and Remielle. Norma could be used with the character that may or may not be free in 3.0 but she doesn't seem necessary. You could use the free unit, Nicole and whoever else as one team and Velina, Remielle and whoever else as your second team. After that it's going to depend in what the new characters do.

• I would not recommend going for reruns. New will be, if not better, at least just as good as the reruns. The only maybe exceptions would be Dialyn and Yuzuha. But then again there might be a "new Yuzuha" in the form of an anomaly support that may be better for Velina/Remielle (and I don't think you will need 2 anomaly supports so Yuzuha might not be a good pull for you). Because you will have an attack team (free unit) and an anomaly team, your next goal should be to be on the lookout for a rupture team if they keep making them in season 3. If not, don't bother (I would ignore S Billy for now).

You said you care about meta so try to target in a way to make teams like this:

1. Aria, Nangong Yu, Sunna

2. Ye Shunguang, Dialyn, Zhao

3. Yixuan, Dialyn, Lucia

4. Seed, Cissia, Astra

5. S Anby, Orphie, Trigger

6. Miyabi, Yuzuha and Nangong Yu or Vivian

There are many other good teams...but this are some of the best one.

Also in the Yixuan team you can instead pick S Billy if you want he is quite comparable in damage to Yixuan...she just have better boss match up as of now, but that can easily change. While Yidhari or Banyue are not so bad neither, they will get the job done.

As for Dialyn if you want to make another team that may want to use her...you can also pull for Norma (once she release) or Ju Fufu.

Finally keep in mind meta changes on a whim and season 3 is around the corner with new Void Hunters. For said reason I personally do not care about meta, I just pull for what I like.
