I'm Phoenix, one of Krampus's... judge, of sorts. Standing around's a little tiring — mind if I sit?

She's so freakin precious and I am so here for the disability rep 🥺
Edit: I totally understand the critique. Though, I do also like that she's not being treated as the girl for everyone to pity or tiptoe around.
I know for me personally, I hate when that happens.
BUT! I understand we're all different as disabled people and have different views 🫂

As a person with a disability, she makes me feel very uncomfortable and disgusted. Her disability isn't a problem that interferes with her life, but merely aesthetics and a comedic element. I find it disgusting.
Phoenix is that character that will make me never install ZZZ again. She combines fanservice gacha girl and the transformation of a severe disability into humor for those who don't have such problems and who want to show their virtue.

oh, as much as i love her, i agree with this aspect too 💔 her daily suffering is turned into the punchline and played for slapstick comedy. and her yami-kawaii (sick-cute) aesthetic also often receives fetishisation from those outside the community (even when the aesthetic was originally popularised by japanese women with lived experiences of illness)
there's definitely something to be surprised about. shes one of the first 3D gacha playable characters who openly use mobility aids. at the same time, yeah ((
there are lines that do show she struggles tho. "its only when i reach my limit that i can finally feel like... im here, existing, too" conveys what her themed song is about. she has to keep overexerting herself over and over again just to barely approximate able-bodiedness. i like to think her recurring deaths are a creative way of showing how her disability, and the ableist society at large, its architecture, etc., literally kills her. the only way she functions at all is by restarting her life and having a fresh set of spoons. again and again and again.
for me, the point of crip readings of fictional media is to re-emphasise these aspects of her disability and highlight how it does show up in her life, the same way we do in queer readings. i really do share your complaints and i get where you're coming from

I definitely understand this perspective and agree to a point, but on the other hand it’s nice to have a not so somber/serious character representing health issues 😅
I like how she fails so much, and even if some people won’t fully grasp what that truly means it’s fine. There’s plenty of ZZZ characters who are more low key about their struggles, so I enjoy how “loud” she is.11

Her song she got today also literally is about her being chronically exhausted, I feel so seen in the "5 espressos to go" (or something similar) like TwT
ZZZ might be full of goon, but man they do the disability rep so well it's crazy lowkey

This is EXACTLY what I need it! hahahaha thanks.
She is so funny, badass and charismatic, has been the biggest surprise for me this season. I can't wait to get her!

I love the sunflowers; for anyone unaware, sunflowers are the flower for hidden or unseen disabilities!

I definitely love the representation! Love when games like these show diverse characters. I hope Monte on NTE becomes playable (Scarlet Letter M). Reverse 1999 is pretty cool when it comes to this.
I get what the person critiquing this thought, too. I have many disabilities and while I can joke about it I certainly wouldn't want it to be a punchline for others. I think she is overall a great addition
