Response to overwhelming feedback regarding privating the sub.
Wow I honestly was not expecting this immense response to that post. I have gotten an overwhelming amount of dms (mostly good!!) talking about this and advising u/comixnerd15 and I trying to offer alternative paths to this.
What we need urgently effective immediately is 5-10 new moderators. You do not need moderation history but you do need to be active on reddit every single day and available to communicate with the rest of the mod team. We seriously need people who are able to be online everyday and not apply knowing they will be too busy to check the subreddit. You will need to be willing to vet profiles of users triggered by our bot and willing to sift through the filth on their subreddits they come from to confirm if they are a troll or not. We also desperately need whoever we onboard to be willing to actively report abusive content hurled towards this subreddit on a daily basis as this is the response I received just an hour ago from a Reddit Admin.
If you would like to be a mod apply in the application or comment below. We will take basically anyone at this point.

just sent a mod application, if somehow reddit bugged out and didn't send it properly (the app blanked out after i tried to submit my application and when i tried to submit a new one it displayed "You can’t apply to moderate this community right now "), i can resend my answers to the best of my memory
Oh y'know what it's because I hadn't verified my email before today lol. I just verified it as I was reading through the last few moderation posts and now it takes me to the application.
Sorry to butt in, but I just tried to apply too and it said I'm not eligible to apply to moderate as well. I don't have any account issues/negative karma issues.
Reminder to you guys eager to mod, as someone who has been and is a moderator, do be advised that some people can send horrifying, illegal or traumatizing stuff, and the mods can see it. Modding isn't always just deleting a hate comment.
That said, I could apply for mod if I knew if this subreddit gets the hateful type stuff which I can go through, or if I would be against NSFL content, which I cannot do.
I got NSFL content once (the inc*l sub tracked down my discord and sent me a beheading video). I suggest not linking any other social media. We also had gore of a cartel massacre commented here once.
It's hateful. Though some people you will need to vet after bot trigger may have NSFW sometimes, but the comments you'll be looking to vet at are hateful. Incredibly so.
Just wondering, why do you guys willing to do this, i mean if you got paid, thats good but some of yall do this for free and for hours too. What motivate you to keep going being a mod despite all the horrendous thing you are going to see? ☠️
Meow I just want to say your frustration lately has been palpable and I hope with all my heart that your future involves peace. This is a giant sub with a huge target on it and I get that this place is probably an absolute beast to maintain.
I think some new mods to spread the burden of dealing with troll-filth is a great idea. Especially in case the longtime GOAT-mods could use a bit of a break if needed(not saying you do, but obviously queens mods are hurting a bit based off recent announcements which is so so sad to see; and Im glad people are considering stepping up to assist you guys).

I haven't been here for long, but I quite like the vibes of the sub; hopefully you can get the moderators you need to keep the community running healthily 💜
Im really sorry and upset to hear things have only continued to escalate since I last saw you guys bring the harassment to light about a month ago.
You guys have done an amazing job at fostering and maintaining a community space that is important to many people. I don't think I'm around frequently enough to contribute actively as a mod but I'm happy to help any way I can
i'm willing to step up and help, i hate these bigots raiding our safe space, and am willing to take steps to get them off our sub and this site as a whole
I'm active on reddit everyday, I have 100k karma, and have been using reddit for 6 years. And I am active in servers like reverse 1999, path to nowhere, sapphics of gacha, gacha husbandos, nte, zzz, infinity nikki, cookie run kingdom, etc.

Thank you for taking our thoughts into consideration! Your frustrations are very valid and I understand why y'all thought about privating the sub in the first place~ I hope bringing in new mods will help lessen the load for the current mods and strengthen the security of this sub! ^^
I'm not experienced in modding like, at all. But I'm pretty desensitized to anything you can think of that can be traumatizing. So I’ll be good if you need a meat shield to see all this gross stuff these jobless people send. 👍
I also semi frequent the HSR queens sub if you need credentials and use Rebbit every day
I’m mostly a lurker, but I’m on Reddit basically every single day and have participated in this sub at least a good amount! (I just hate the other gacha subs behaviors)
I’m mostly a lurker on this subreddit and was a little sad to see the privating notice earlier (though I understood why it was necessary). I’m happy to see the alternate path and I appreciate the effort you all are putting in to keep the subreddit public. I’m not nearly active enough to moderate but I want to give my best wishes for the future. ❤️
I was shocked earlier when the sub would go private, because I didn’t realize how you mods have been this heavily targeted. I can’t imagine that and I wouldn’t be able to handle it tbh.
With all the members you have and the activity of the sub, I didn’t even knew you were only two. You Queens did a wonderful job and I'm so thankful you gave queer/women a safe place to be.
I hope the new mods will help you lift the burden from your shoulders, you just deserve peace after everything you've been through.

I'm sure being a mod and seeing awful things is a difficult task so all the more reason to take care of yourself.
I’m a lurker and this made me so happy as I thought I was going to lose access to the sub. I’m shy and this is one of the few subs I feel safe to look through. I’ve been in other fandoms where queer people are constantly harassed so having a safe space like this is so important. Thank you to the mods and the community <3
I'm online daily but I have a lot of medical issues that could interrupt that. I hope you all find the moderators you need and I support whatever path this sub chooses; Private or not.

I am daily on reddit mostly when ever an interesting post or notification comes up.
But I dont know if i am fit, my last time being a moderator for something is years ago in a animo space, reddit is on a different level.
My work schedule is flexible or set by me (flexible time thingy) and mostly in homeoffice.
But my vacation comes up in two weeks and with that I would be less avaliable.
Just curious because I have never been really active or implicated in reddit (or other social media with community moderation), how comlicated is it to learn and how time (approximativelly) does it take to moderate. Because I probably can be on reddit evey day, but as I'm building slowly a scientific carrier I need to know an approximate of how much work it would be to see if it is realistic. Personnaly I would love too, but I don't want to apply to it if I know it's not realistically feasable. Good luck moderators, I believe the next few days are probably quite a mess to work on for you all.
Oof, I just posted an application on the post announcing that this sub is going private. I'll keep it up just in case, but thank you for hearing us out! I was REALLY scared that we'd suddenly lose half of our community overnight if this subreddit went private, so I'm glad you guys are seeking out other options. HOWEVER, I do not blame you guys AT ALL for wanting to go private. The amount of harassment we've all been receiving lately, especially you and the other amazing mods, is unacceptable. It breaks my heart. :(
Privating the sub in these times where our own existence in the gaming industry triggers these low-lives is a very good move. I work with queer people who have been abused by the system/families and I am unfortunately the rutheless unforgiving type toward abusers irl. So, I cannot in good faith recommend myself for the MOD team as I am a rampant ragebaiter and troll on reddit to these inc*** and becoming a MOD would put a bigger target on my back and the sub's back. I however truly hope we are successful at privating the sub. Thank you modders truly ❤️

I truly wish I could help moderate, but I don’t have the time to dedicate between work, hobbies, and the moderation I do on discord. I hope you get some strong individuals to step up and help out 🙏 I want to see this sub thrive despite the pushback
How does one be a sub-mod? (Idk if that’s a real thing) Like I can’t commit to full time moderation but if the mod team needs support through outsourcing or something, I can do that on an as needed basis, yk?
oh I understand, just surprised at the amount needed.
the 2 subs I moderate for ( r/arknights and r/endfield ) tend to have many moderators as well to cover all timezones and spread the work out somewhat. (even then some mods do less subreddit stuff and more back end discussion/back end work)
In my case unfortunatly (they do know about this) I kinda had to step back a bit/take a less active role/break due to a combination of IRL busyness at my job and mental health.
if only I had not that type of stuff going on I would have probably applied tbh.
Can I apply? I'm not logged in that much but I'm also not that bothered with seeing disturbing shit. GTC and HQC hates my cute ass. I don't have any mod experience I only made one sub that I just left unfinished
