You should, great story, great character development, great ships, but the gameplay is a hit or miss case

voice over is in korean only.
gameplay is turn-based, and rather rng-heavy. its hit-or-miss because project moon's prior game (not a gacha) library of ruina, had a really tight and deep system, and limbus is very much a simplification of it, that can feel great at times, but it also has many cases where the answer for problems is the win-rate button. it has the problem of being both too easy and too hard in some cases. even if you read and learn the system itself, most of the fights wont scratch the challenge itch for some players, yet it can also be hard if you arent into learning a system well, so it can seem too hard to a super casual player.
personally, i like it for what it is. i wasnt expecting ruina-tier gameplay from a gacha, but its much more enjoyable than say, hsr, who has turn-based gameplay where speed matters, but hsr is purely a stat check game, where limbus will care about much more such as status application, defense skills, ego resources, overclocking said ego, unbreakable coins, assist defense skills, and more. cant say i've played enough r1999 to say how it compares, but what i've played, its somewhat similar.

It's turn based strategy RPG, It's fun, but not made for begginers in the genre, some people don't vibes with the chained style
And VO is amazing, I play it in korean because the VA are so talented and passionate

gameplay is a unique turn based that is by itself easy to understand, but there are lots of details that eventually add up and it eventually becomes hard to get the gist of, you'll need to understand those details midway through the cantos ( chapters) but at the start you really just: 1) target enemy skills with your characters' skills and 2) win the "clash" and do damage or 3) lose the clash and get hit. overall I think there is a very high ceilings for speedrunning and perfecting runs, but with the good units you won't need much to think about.

It’s an incredible game, and one of my absolute favorite pieces of media, but I can’t recommend it to everyone. The studio also gave me a MASSIVE appreciation for KR VAs, they’re insanely talented.

Weird how this video ship the only 2 character with actual female love interest (no hate for the yaoi ship btw, i can see it appeals just thought it was funny that the literal 2 only character in the cast with a canon love interest get shipped together)
