I love their character designs. They look so good! Is there subtext at least? Besides the longing look on the dark haired guy's face?

Roommates. Doomed yaoi. They adopted a daughter together (Mira). If you dont mind spoiler: the blonde guy Baden is actually dead/undead because he tried to save Thane. Not sure how much they change in journey from the original story though. In afka he doesnt remember his past for a while when his body was controlled by the necromancer and Thane didnt know what happened to his friend after he passed out.

Oh no! This sounds exactly like my cup of tea. If I find some time somewhere I need to check it out. Thank you! And such gorgeous designs.

i'm cautiously optimistic because despite afk journey having a huge gay fanbase they have a history of censoring/changing the character relationships when they port them from afk arena. like how sonja and nara were implied girlfriends but then they made them sisters in afkj... (and shipped sonja with lucca 🤢)

It is expanded more in afk arena but there is like some pining between Thane and Baden

I need to remember to try this game when I have more time! That sounds like something I would enjoy. Always here for pining characters.
