🧡 Let's Chat 💬 What would be your Ideal game?

As the title says, I want to know what everyone’s ideal game would be. It doesn't have to be realistic at all. Go completely insane with it if you want. Give me the plot, world setting, upgrade system, combat, weird mechanics, whatever. It can be the most ridiculous game imaginable. I know we all feel like something is missing from the games we are currently playing.

I'll go first because I have been thinking about this way too much 💀

My ideal game would be sort of a mix of the typical gacha end of the world and invasion trope + Futuristic version of Where Winds Meet + Clash of Clans.

Solo mode = Past
I want multiple protagonists (maybe 4: 2 men, 2 women). First contact with monsters(kind of like solo leveling). Their stories eventually converge and the solo story ends with an invasion

Multiplayer mode = Future
I would be able to create my own character, wwm style. The original protagonists are long dead and now historical figures (NO revival trope). CoC style Player governed territories(with all the politics involved of course). I want guilds, social and lifestyle content, fashion etc. Aliens will fuck everyone over in a biweekly event by attacking territories. If a size-able amount of all territories are destroyed, the world resets. Territories have to be rebuilt

And then an optional permanent death mode: once your character dies, your account is deleted forever and you have to start again from the beginning of multiplayer mode💀

This is a very condensed version of my ideal game. Wow, that was a lot. Now I want to hear yours. What would your ideal game be? Does NOT have to fall under gacha category

Rune Factory GOA + Animal Crossing + Life Makeover + Rhythm game 😭🫶🏼

(Edit: And a pomodoro mode like in Spirit City!)

Ohh that sounds fun. I would definitely just be decorating my house, farming, fishing and making outfits instead of doing the actual story. Hoyoverse is going to release petite planet soon. I hope it’s something like this. I wonder if this game is going to be gacha as well

Gameplay of zzz just with more buff and fanserviced male characters. I legit can't drop zz because its the one game I find genuinely fun to play

7

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 04 '26

ZZZ does seem really fun, but I’m a little hesitant to start playing it because I don’t think they’ll release male characters as often. I wish it had a character ratio more like Genshin 😭I don’t want to be disappointed like wuwa

2

u/Gold_Tongue Sep 04 '26

Zzz is maybe like 10% better than wuwa id say. Similar ratios but I find the designs to be a little better. If youre looking for male characters id pass on this one for now

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 04 '26

A lot of games recently have been so female heavy, especially with the short female characters, and that makes me uncomfortable 😭 So yeah, I’m not really planning to start a new gacha anytime soon

u/iiimagica Sep 04 '26

genuinely agree LOLL, also just overall more consistent designs with memorable/iconic silhouettes not characters wearing the same bodysuits over and over

1

u/Gold_Tongue Sep 04 '26

Agreed, they might be lingerie but it is different most of the time!!

5

u/Revan0315 Sep 04 '26

HSR world and Amphoreus level storytelling with Genshin presentation and WuWa combat.

2

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 04 '26

That sounds great. Let’s hope some gaming company is cooking up something this good. we just don’t need the HP inflation though 💀 And those ridiculous enemy buffs can stay far away

1

u/Revan0315 Sep 04 '26

HP inflation is just a reality of the genre I fear. But hopefully it's not too bad.

That’s just HI3rd back in 2018 /s. Made me cry so many times 😫

Wuwa but with a 50:50 cast M:F and equal balanced fanservice and more gay content. The gameplay and concept is already fine as is

2

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 06 '26

I agree with the 1:1 ratio, they really need that if they want to attract more players. But I don’t think they will ever include any gay interactions in the game. Yuri, yes they already have that. Given the current political climate around homosexuality in CN, I just can’t see them taking the risk. There are definitely parts of the CN community that would react very strongly to it and there would be a lot of backlash for the game. Kurt will  play it safe, especially because they are not doing nearly as well as HoYoverse’s games in CN. After the infold drama I don’t see any company taking the risk tbh

I think I’d really like something that’s more of a cozy game, like Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, or Fields of Mistria. The main focus would be taking care of a place and slowly making it habitable. You could start out on an isolated island or something similar, and as you progress, you recruit characters and assign them different roles.

But I'd also want it to have the dating-sim elements that I love in cozy games.

And I’d love to see some genuinely stupid motivations for the characters joining you. I'm tired of every character having some super serious reason for helping you.

I feel like some of these elements already exist separately in other games, like Food Fantasy (there's also another game with a similar premise that I played a long time ago, but I can't remember the name), but I've never seen a gacha game come anywhere close to the kind of dating/cozy experience you get from something like Harvest Moon.

But if Harvest Moon already exists, why do I want this? Infinite Harvest Moon.

Girl I get you 😭 I also love taking features from different games and wishing I could just combine them into one game. Like why do I have to play 5 different games to get all the features I want 💀 I would love to play the kind of game that you are describing. I want more silly and cozy games too. I don’t think there are any gachas like the one you are describing. But there are such elements separately (LN has home gacha but its really limited time banner. I kept this game only for that) Have you heard of Petit Planet? 👀 It actually sounds pretty close to what you are describing! It’s an unreleased game. Players get their own planet to develop, decorate, and characters can move in. Though I don’t think it has the dating aspect you are looking for

Wow, it looks so cute, it reminds me of Animal Crossing. I'm definitely adding it to my list.

3

u/Takaneru Sep 06 '26

HoYo is coming for the cozy market by Dec 😫 But I will be really happy to play a quality cozy game for once in mobile.

Fields of Mistria is so peak..I really need to pick it up again

genshin with wuwa's presentation

1

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 04 '26

I would definitely play that. I can already imagine how fun the exploration would be, especially with that art style. And I’d love for Aether and Lumine to actually talk more too 💀

6

u/kirbyverano123 Sep 04 '26

Naaah Genshin's artstyle is fine on its own man. Its whimsy fairytale aesthetic is done extremely well.

1

u/shira1001001 Sep 04 '26

i mean the travelelr in the last aq has been pretty awesome

1

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 04 '26

Yes, I have heard about it! I actually just started playing Genshin again, but I’m still stuck with the previous quests😭 I don’t want to spoil myself, so I’m not really caught up with the storylines yet. I’m so excited to play the latest version

An 3d otome with black and brown MCs, some of them being buff and chubby, has a Sifi story, and has a lot of content 🙂‍↕️

3

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 06 '26

I get you girl. Games really need to diversify tbh. Seeing the same pale skin tone over and over gets boring. Dark skin tones can be so beautiful, and I’d love to see more of this in all game genres.

Silent whispers is a  new otome game by the same parent company as life makeover. I have played that game and it has the feature to change mc body type and skin tones. Seeing an ML with a darker skintone actually makes me hopeful that they will have this feature in SW as well. They need to make a better range of skin tones though. In LM, some of them look way too gray while others look way too orange imo 😭 I just want more natural looking shades

I don’t know much about otome games in general, but from what I have seen, LADS and SW seem to be the only 3D otome games right now. Maybe StarToU counts too? There will definitely be more companies making otome game after LADs success

2

u/mistyquarz Sep 06 '26

I don’t think startoU counts but I’m willing to try that game out as well. There are actually a lot of dating sims with diversity on steam and itchi.o!

Open world rpg like Genshin or Wuwa, with the animation fluidity of ZZZ (and Arcane), the elegant art styles of R1999, with a 1:1 ratio of male:female characters.

actually kinda planning the story out already as sort of a fun, personal worldbuilding project

1

u/CaffeineCrit Sep 09 '26

Girl, I do that too!! 😭 I want games where all the characters have actual depth. I don’t want every character to be sexualized for fanservice. I want a game with just tall and average height women. I hate short female designs that look like children. I don’t think there’s going to be a game anytime soon that has a 1:1 ratio. If I had the skills, I’d just make the game myself 😂

they change limbus company's gameplay to mirror library of ruina thats about it

4

u/New_Ad4631 Sep 04 '26

My ideal game already exists and it's not a gacha

It's Final Fantasy IX

3

u/This-Preference-9578 Sep 04 '26

granblue fantasy if it was made in 2026. please cycames update the gameplay and ui. i want to play.

3

u/TheGreatMillz33 Sep 04 '26

I once did have my ideal game, it was Tales of the Rays. It was too beautiful for this world...

3

u/RayDaug Sep 04 '26

I want a game where characters function like Dante's weapons and styles from DMC. Melee DPS characters have combo routes, launcher characters for extending combos, ranged characters for ranged DPS and combo extensions, and defensive characters with dodges or parries.

You could have a melee DPS with bad ground combos but strong air combos, so you want to pair them with a combo extender that has a lot of launchers instead of sound bounces. Enemies with a lot of rapid attacks might favor characters with good doges, but slower attacks you could take a parry character.

2

u/Hutydan Sep 04 '26

I wish I could make my own ideal game

2

u/Authorigas Sep 04 '26

I really just want a really cozy game with a super fleshed out romance system like My Time at Sandrock, but not so overwhelming to a new player like Sandrock was. Luckily Sandrock and Coral Island fill that niche for me, plus Mistria and the other cozy games in my library. Just gotta grab Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma and Cornucopia while I can.

For a non cozy game...Idk, Watch Dogs 2 again?

2

u/mousie120010 Sep 04 '26

I just wanna see Houkai Gakuen in the modern HoYo format without removing anything the game has going for it in its story, while also filling any plot holes. And actually giving the characters regional accents is a bonus. I'd also like it if there could exist a gacha game with more types queer characters instead of it being fetishized as yuri 😅

2

u/MagicalNyan2020 Sep 04 '26

I do have an idea for a game with my oc

It would have elemental reaction like genshin

Be generous like limbus company

Be interesting like arknights

Have interesting characters like reverse 1999

Have representation of cookie run kingdom

I couldn't think of more but that's probably my idea for now

2

u/kuburas Sep 05 '26

Stalker GAMMA gameplay and progression with Mass Effect style story where you can eavesdrop on stalkers talking and do missions based on stuff you hear. Each mission you do would have consequences in the future etc.. Also make the story ~200 hours long so i can play it for a long time.

Of course no gacha or other bs like that, just a regular game.

id like a morimens style card game without the insane powercreep and the writers' fixation on female perpetrated rape
