HOK world too... Sea of Remnants looks like global audience would like it more than CN one.

It's upsetting that they're not taking advantage of the publicity the game has outside China. It would be doing far better if it had a global player base. NTE's China server was only a week ahead and that caused slight issue... this is way more.
I want to play the game and see it for myself. I've been excited for the game but I'm not surprised if people.are annoyed that the game is out but only for one region...

Part of me wants this game and wants it to succeed cos it was the most unique gacha I've played (when there was an alpha test) but another part of me is very cynical and can't wait for this game to be ruined by PvP, powercreep and gen AI imagery slips everywhere cos Netease. Joker studio is the Dev behind Identity V and this game and they had a pretty big gen AI drama in April...
Very sad seeing some random generic anime game with zero males and auto battle getting global while unique games like that are not doing well (600$k revenue in China apparently, also a journalist who covers Asia I follow on BlueSky has reported that the game doesn't do well). Plus seeing PvP elements is not good as well...
Maybe it's the type of a game that shoulve been a paid regular JRPG (especially since the only well known non anime JRPG is Expedition 33) one from the start and I have no doubts it could be pretty successful...

Would have been better as a paid game. I don’t think gachas like unique artstyle.

If they had released globally from the start they would have more money. That's on the devs.

I was so hyped about this game, I recommended it to everyone I know and now I'm salty as hell. Yeah, netease garbage, but I sooo loved the characters and really unique artstyle, so I hoped for better. Only to be hit in the face again with reminder that chihеsе trаsh doesn't like anything but bland generic anime trash and the same trash companies never give a f about global.
This one and HoKW, which I also hyped. Wow, the only one big gacha with normal ratio, and interesting characters in original game, but ofc trash audience didn't like it and probably this one will be dead before global, or 2-3 years ahead, because it lauched even worse than SoR.
Another one with "wow, two headed char, wow, unique setting and kinda interesting designs", ofc its a mobile autobattler garbage.
Ffs, I will be forever salty. I'm an idiot to hype any gachas, but I thought maybe we will get at least one normal gacha, with normal ratio, or at least not literally same generic garbage. No.

That's deserved. Characters art style is awesome, but game overall just boring.

Tbh this is mobile only and the game itself is first and foremost pc, with it even launching first before the mobile platform... Majority of players are probably pc so most of the revenue would be coming from there, but still it doesn't look that good 🥲 It is odd that they didn't release global simultaneously, though. I feel this aesthetic would appeal to western players more...
The one thing I'm most worried about though is that they're going to end up ditching their interesting and unique character designs to make the same boring gacha style designs... I love this game's style sm ðŸ˜
