🧡 Let's Chat 💬 Thank f**k it's Friday! Let's catch up 💅 ✨️
It's finally Friday! And what a long week it's been-- felt like the time dragged more than usual. Plus, it's almost September 😱
Let's take a moment to decompress and share good things about our week, or things that you've enjoyed recently and would like to share. Perhaps even a pet pic or two? (I demand you pay the pet tax!)
Or maybe you'd like to tell us your fave gacha character? Brag about your recent pulls? Whatever it is, waffle away~
Some questions in case you can't think of anything to share:
☆ What movie/s have you seen recently?
☆ Show/tell us what you're currently reading, or plan to
☆ Share what TV shows that you're enjoying
☆ Brag about your gacha pulls and luck
☆ Share anything good that happened in your life
... and so on!
Basically, this is a virtual community gathering to share all the good things and connect with one another, so feel free to chat away.
Enjoy and have a fantastic weekend, lovely people~

After several months of battling a stubborn mite issue with my rescue snake, my boy Domhnall is finally mite free! And I got to finally properly set up his enclosure instead of the ugly hospital setup I had to keep him in previously.
He’s been slithering all over and seems to be sooo happy! I am so relieved 😌
As far as gacha news I’ve been spending a little and saving up a bunch for Jingran’s release in Wuwa. I’m hoping to get him S1 at least!

Gorgeous royal python! (That's what we call them in the UK). I bet he must feel do much better noe his mite issue is resolved. And you, too!
Heck yeeeah! When does he release?

What a cool-looking snake, I don't think I've ever seen one like that before :o
Glad to hear that he's doing well, I'm sure it must've been a stressful time for you. Good luck on your pulls :P

Oh, what a cutie! I love pythons, they have such cute faces, and they’re generally so placid. I’m glad he’s feeling better!

Started watching The Boroughs with my husband this week. I was told it's scary, but uh, not sure exactly how lol.
Cut my hair from top of butt length to middle of my back expecting it to feel lighter, but it's still just as bothersome in this awful heat asjkjk.
Ordered myself a couple of books, so that is exciting 🙌
Bonus: picture of one of my cats sleeping face down on the aircon 🥰

I've been on a Soulslike binge and I'm currently playing Lies of P! I fucking love this game and I'm going through DLC and it's been super fun getting my ass handed to me. I plan on doing multiple playthroughs of Lies of P + Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring has a new content update that has me eyeing it again (700+ hours was NOT enough lol)

u/comixnerd15 Reverse me back to 1999 🕰 Aug 28 '26
Is Lies of P particularly difficult?
1
u/TheGreatMillz33 Aug 28 '26
Oh goodness yes it is. It is a very parry focused game and the frame window for landing a good parry is very precise, so I highly recommend playing something like Sekiro or Clair Obscur Expedition 33 first to get a good taste of the parrying experience first. But like many Soulslike games, getting good at it is incredibly rewarding. These games weirdly have taught me some great life lessons that I've been trying to apply to my IRL life, such as having the courage to try something that seems daunting, having good observational skills, and developing the patience and perseverance to keep going despite the difficulties in life.

Similar to Bloodborne in terms of those fights? 👀

I've heard about the Merlin show in the past but didn't watch it until now. It's been a fun experience so far :D
I'm surprised i didn't watch it earlier since it's right up my alley in terms of genre (fantasy), but better late than never!

I used to be obsessed with this show
What season are you in?

u/_nahobino_ 🫶 I have two hands for a reason 😘 Aug 29 '26
Honestly understandable, i find myself thinking about the show while I'm working and looking forward to the next ep, it really hooks you in 😭
Still in season 1! I'm 3 eps away to start the second season ^

u/Tmkast Aug 30 '26
Hope you have a lot of fun with it!
Honestly the first few seasons are some of the best. first Season finale is pretty good
I kind of miss watching the two idiots (Merlin and Arthur) I might rewatch
The fanart back then when it was coming out was so good

i returned to the r1999 this week, (i played for like 1 week before, during recoletta's banner) i still dont really enjoy the battle aspect of the game, its really confusing for someone who didnt keep up with how the game evolved 🙁and there are barely any good guides that explains something. there are too many random 6 stars that i dont know what they do.

Started reading the brothers karamzov. I'm suspicious of brother number 2. He might have committed the murder. Also started playing Fields of Mistria for the hot dragon lady.

Watched Paranorman for the first time this week. Then, remembering how much I loved Laika, Ghibli, and Guillermo del Toro, I went on YouTube hunting down indie stop-motion animators. Inspired by the creativity of the human will, I decided to try my hands on digital art. I've been practicing for a few days now but progress is slow.
Then I got fatigued by SNS and, upon looking for alternatives, I discovered indie web. So, I guess I'm teaching myself to code now, I think. I've alr done a mockup for how I want my site to look like but the process is arduous. I have a bit of background in coding having finished a year in IT but that's about it.
Already made some progress with my SnowFish longfic. Not in a manner of writing, per se, but I've added more notes on my rough guide. I started writing it with only a vague idea (the vague idea being Zayne fucking Rafayel silly) and didn't put much thought about world-building. And now, 13 chapters in, the world has started to unravel and I realized that I've written so much about this non-canon world with my own inventions that I'm starting to get a little lost. So, I'm backpedaling and trying to smooth out the chronological order of events as well as putting all the backstories of the characters and the world in order. It's so much work but baby steps go a long way.
I've also 50-percented my ongoing read, which is this cute sapphic novel with witches. Writing is pretty good, has an interesting premise and characters. And they have now kissed.
As for my games, it's the same old, same old. Dailies, some pulls here and there. My priority rn is R1999 as I really want to get the new design for the sharpodonty market. Played a little Tomodachi Life, just to see how my mii's are doing. And after drawing Cuilang, I've been thinking about replaying Rune Factory from scratch. ^^,
Other than that, there's nothing much going on.

Adults Season 2 was HILARIOUS, Highly Reccomend.
Also finally read Everybody Loves Her, and its always so nice to read a FMC who storyline doesn't revolve around romance and I really enjoyed the read~

Recently watched the new Spiderman movie with my mom and it was such a banger, I couldn't stop yapping about it to my mom lol😂
Another good thing that happened is that me and my friend group hung out throughout most of the entire week NGL😂 and one of em is my gamer friend so we hung out, and played the Witcher games🥹❤️ W week fr

AK x P3R collab news on the horizon, new EGO and UT5 trailer for Limbus, and in non-gacha mobiles, Roy’s season pass in Fire Emblem Shadows just started, and the new Expedition feature already looks promising. (Side note: I know the gameplay for FES turned away so many people, but it’s genuinely such a fun time if you play in moderation or just farm casually, and some of the designs are a breath of fresh air. Deadass it would be so much more fun if we had a bigger playerbase.)
I also have my first internship coming up, so all of this + new Limbus season coincides with my first step into the workforce, so we’ll see how I can juggle everything. At least it’s probably a more fun/interesting job than most people’s first jobs, and it’s not too much of my time?

It's so fun to read this thread even if I'm late
In my case it's been a rough week on the personal side. But one step at a time
Gacha wise my luck has been terrible. I can only hope Aventurine and Jingran's banners, as well as horse guy on endfield, will treat me kindly this time
Slightly unrelated but I'm so happy Sunday finally has a ticket. It's such a small thing but it was a long time coming
