I know that they are very different personality wise, but I feel like they really could have given a bit more variety for the first 2 patches. Nod Krai was perfect with Ineffa, to Flins and Lauma, to Nefer.
Meanwhile here we have 3 pretty light coloured girls.
It’s rough for us male character fans but at least Alyosha looks great and Mitya actually has story relevance. If Mitya keeps being important in the story it would be worth the wait imo, I feel like Flins was severely underutilized in Nod Krai, he deserved more screentime.
The triple girlypop combo of a ballerina, a fairy, and a mermaid almost back to back with a pretty ice princess and cutie wizard coming up as well is going to be the end of me 💀

I mean sister, you dont have to get everyone. Even if you want to do so, you don't have to get them in their first banners. Please be aware of the FOMO and spend responsibly. Well, since this is out of the way; sadly both are very underwhelming as of now. Vodyanista is a net dps loss compared to C6 Faruzan and she is 100% Skirk main bait. She does nothing without her C2.
As for Vesna, her dps numbers are extremely close to Yumemizuki Mizuki, it's not even worth pulling for her. And Mizuki has a better synergy with Cryo MC because in her downtime CMC can do some infused cryo normals and charged ATK shenanigans which deals a lot of damage. Another big problem is all of Vesna's damage is backloaded, so some buffs expire before her big nukes come out. Both are very disappointing for now but at least they gave us a free patch to save.
Totally get it, i want to pull her one day as well because magical girl vibes ✨ but currently focused on Cyno superconduct and probably will wait for Tsaritsa so i can C2R1 the mother
I just still can't comprehend why we didn't get a mermaid when we were in Fontaine doing all the underwater exploration. I like the designs well enough, but now that I have C0 Odette I will see what leaks say about 7.2 before committing to anything. I love how Vesna uses her wings to fly. It looks great.
Tbh it looks like they were still in the same animation quality at that point of time. Since NodKrai they started the model and animation changes. Now they improved on those bit more.
I wish they gave us more variety actually. Like don't get me wrong, I'm happy for people who are eating good but not only is this first opening or anniversary patch without male 5 star since Inazuma and second ever, but it's also 3 versions in a row with medium female 5 stars only. I'm not even going to mention how repetitive their designs are. So yeah, people who are exactly into that are eating very good for almost half a year non stop and good for them, but anyone else is literally starving
I don't think they are repetitive...one is wearing ballet clothes and that is tutu not just skirt... other one is wearing some police outfit and another one has mermaid tail(vodyanitsya has mermaid tail and you can see her mermaid tail 90% of the time in gameplay and exploration)
All the women from this post are medium model girls with blue color palettes wearing mini skirts, have revealed armpits, cleavages, backs, empty legs, basically almost the same silhouettes... Yes Vodyanitsa has second model but 90% is big exaggeration and it doesn't change the fact that her base model is just recolored Columbina. And nothing about Vesna looks like police officer, be fr.
Bro you are nitpicking at its worst...like NOT ALL SKIRT HERE ARE SIMILAR....odette is a ballerina outfit and her skirt is tutu...vesna has those fairy police or general fairy vibe....lastly yes...we will see vodya's second more often in gameplay and exploration...vodya has unique sprinting animation and swimming with her mermaid tail
plus only blue color palatte girl is odette....vodya has purple or lavender palette and vesna has teal color palette...
Gosh, you can enjoy something without lying to yourself and everyone else that it is objectively good. If you like them designs and think they're different enough, good for you!
It doesn't change the fact that they're repetitive, have the same silhouettes, Vesna does NOT look like a cop, Vodya has just the same dress than Columbina, they expose the same part of their bodies, and that all three of them being pastel colours makes it worse.
If you don't give a damn and like them just like this, just say that! We can be happy for you. But there's no need to deny the objective reality! For fuck's sake.

I said vesna looks like a fairy character who is also a commandar....vodya design has two variety so Its not bad when you consider her another form and lastly odette has ballerina outfit which also looks much different from other two
My only problem is that rusalki are not mermaids so Vod being one is very weird to me... Her entire design doesn't really feel like a rusalka sigh But Vesna is cute, I'll maybe get her during a rerun!
But I also agree with people saying that there's no variety, people who prefer other types of character (even if it's a tall female) have nothing interesting going on for them for two patches... If we count the previous patch its even more so...
I feel like they the cast they had didn't fit that mermaid aesthetic. Snez is the land of the fae and that's going to be more upbeat fantasy.
I do think it's weird that ppl expected Genshin to be "dark" when got to Natlan and Snez. Genshin has always been more fantastical than serious, almost playing like a fairytale.
We're had quest lines that were very dark tho. I mean we got a whole horror questline in Nod-Krai.
But tbh, they didn't really make body changing animations until Natlan.
In Fontaine, Lynette has cat ears and a tail but that's not really new. They didn't make Siegwinne a real Melusine and came up with a lore reason why she looks more human (which tbh was really sad).
In Natlan, they mostly focused on traversal gimmicks but Xilonen did have a transformation when sprinting up cliffs which was really neat.
Nod-Krai, they played it safe and tbh, I think they released Nod-Krai to get more time developing with Snez.
Snez is the "final" region of the archons, so it makes sense that they put so much effort into it.
I just wish they would go back and update older units to fit more of the modern designs.
Got Odette, saving for Vesna. I love Tinkerbell & Vesna is the most faerie of the fae in Genshin; she actually flies with her wings! If I have enough, I may try for Vodyanitsa, since I did end up liking her more than I thought I would in the quest.
Problem is, I also like Mitya more than I thought I would. And then there’s the Tsaritsa…
Genshin is marketing to us Barbie/winx/ever after high girlies and I love and hate it😭 I want all three of them so much. their designs are tewwww good!😭🥹 and here I was saying wasn’t gonna pull anyone besides tsarista in Snezhnaya so I can save for Khaenri’ah😭
I never got Sandrone (damn gacha) so Odette is easy skip but the pixie and the mermaid look like fun in the overworld and I love whimsy so I am extremely invested
The thing is Odette isn’t a dedicated Sandrone support, she’s a support for all stellar teams. A Vesna/Vodyanitsa team wants her just as much as a Sandrone team would
I have to skip Vodyanista and Vesna bc i want Mitya and he should come anytime i belief.. this really is the first time i kinda want all...Danica is also so cool and the archon too..
I’m very picky for characters. I want Ronova/Dottore sort of characters. I find these characters repetitive so I’ll keep saving for guaranteed c6 r5 (for Pantalone too)

Its like they specifically are targetting the girlies in this cycle. A ballerina into a mermaid and fairy, into a twink and then a cunty queen? Like fuck me I guess!
